Any chance someone could explain how this market works to me pleased? Manchester United - +0 - 18/1 Would it mean you would be giving the rest of the teams in the list a head-start of +6 or whatever it says next to them.

Just like a normal handicap bet isn't it, the teams have said number of points added to their total at the end of the season to create a handicap league. So at the end of the season United will have 0 points added but Chelsea will have 2 added on etc.

Ah, gotcha mate.

Side Glance won a hot looking g3 at Salisbury today, although he was the worthy favourite I couldn't of played the race - looks very competitive on paper.

Fanunalter finished 5th, carrying 3lbs more than the four horses that finished in front of him, and Side Glance was 2L in front.
Sporting Life comments for Fanunalter:
"held up towards rear, continually denied clear run from over 2f out, hampered and switched right over 1f out, switched left and in the clear inside final furlong, finished strongly to finish on heels of leaders, not recover opened 11/2 touched 7/1"

Seems very unlucky.


Contemplating a look at Leopardstown later seeing as though my plan for Saturday has went tits up, was planning to lump on Strong Suit in the Hungerford but he doesn't go.



Just read on Racing Post website Pisco Sour is the latest horse to be sold to race abroad (Dubai) along with probably at least half a dozen others that have been sold to race in Hong Kong lately (Dominant amongst others).

Racing in this country is going down the toilet. The prize money is that crap that any reasonable offer, unless connections are mega rich, has to be accepted.

Far too much racing imo, an awful lot of dross around. Can't see why trainers and owners can moan though, next week's International will have 5 runners max, for a pot of 600K.

Firdaws is out of a decent stallion in Mr Greeley, and the dam was an Oaks winner. Is entered in the Fillies Mile, and has been thrown in against the colts on debut.

1, Its a shame she is a Hamdan Al Maktoum horse
1.1, The owner's stable jockey means the horse isn't backable at short odds.

I can't believe such a racing mega-power has the terrible, useless Richard Hills as his no1 jockey, and the very average Tadhg O'Shea as his no2.

I know a few have talked about this particular horse im going to mention but apparently in the 1:30 Newbury Firdaws NAP is the absolute dog b*ll*cks I have heard that this thing is an absolute machine has wings catches pigeons all those connatations, The Nile is also supposed to be one Gosdens best but Varian's beast is incredible.

Also been given Top Offer In 2:00 Newbury as having a very good chance.

prize money in horse racing is shocking.

class 6 race paying £1200 to the winner... doesnt even cover the costs for a month.

then place money £400 and £180

unless you have money to burn or get lucky with a good one dont get involved in ownership..ive learnt!

Yep, shocking from Hills.

Looks a class horse though - think there was only him who could of got it beat.
