Signs that Man City might find it harder now the cooler weather is coming in? Their body language was shocking, stood at kick off shivering and rubbing their hands together like you do round a camp fire. Half of them wearing gloves as well and requiring blankets on the bench?
Good point. The biggest frustration for you must've been to see the team create chances and very good ones at that but to be missed every time. In truth the goal came from a hopeful strike and Lescott just swinging his leg at it. City offered very little in attack and really snatched a point today when they should've been beaten. Suarez is a very good player and always dangerous but when was the last time he scored? I don't think he's been a prolific goalscorer but there seems to be very little around him to work with him or take chances he does create. January is fast approaching, where would like to see Dalglish strengthen?
The one thing about the Premier League is you have to be clinical, we found that out against Man Utd and Newcastle were we dominated both games, had the better of the chances and yet lost both.
Join the club, I know exactly how you feel. It's what most of us have been saying about Everton this season and most of last. We don't generally let many goals in per game, our midfield is never really outplayed but we can't score, we create chances and plenty of them but relying on Saha to score week after week isn't the answer. Don't even get me started on the quality of our wide players, Baines aside.
What was more frustrating was seeing the chances fall to Kuyt and Downing, whilst Maxi and Carroll could have been on. Say what you like about Carroll, but he scored against City last year and he nearly had one today after coming on for 10 minutes. He could have scored if he was on for 10/20 minutes longer, but oh well.
In terms of strengthening, there isn't too much out there that will be available in January. Maybe a few youngsters or somebody from South America, but I can't see us signing much unless we go into panic mode. I'd like to see us sign a right sided player, Henderson doesn't work there, nor does Kuyt, whilst Gerrard's fitness is worrying to say the least. But as I said, I can't see us signing anyone unless things get worse, i.e. we lose a few and really start to fall short of the God4, the owners may try and bring someone in quickly, but I can't see there being too much in terms of value.
I think we're doing well. Today was odd as we weren't really 'dominating' City, i.e. under Benitez between 2007 and 2009, we'd probably have been all over City for 90 minutes and put them to the sword, simply because we had a stronger side then that was more 'gelled' and better at taking the upper hand, with players like Alonso and Mascherano being pivotal to that. We've made progress this year, but I don't think we've gained any true value from our signings, other than Enrique and Suarez, who have been superb. Whilst Adam has recently really picked up.

So what is it about Carroll Dalglish doesn't seem to like? The lad's got ability, I liked him at Newcastle and think he has a lot of potential but it seems pointless to leave him on the bench and bring him on with minutes remaining. I've never understood strikers being brought on with, say, less than 15 mins remaining if you're trying to get something out of the game.
Equally I'd like to see Moyes bring a right sided player in come January, I know it's a dream but we really do lack a right hand side, always have. The left with Baines and either Drenthe/Bily does seem to work, although Pienaar was the perfect link up player for Baines. We lack distinctly on the right but more importantly a striker is needed. Could be seeing Gerrard's career beginning to end? he just doesn't seem to be able to get fit now, it's something I think we're seeing with Tim Cahill but with little else we have no option but to persevere.
I've never been a fan of Downing so what I've seen of him and what I've been told doesn't surprise me, I always thought there would be better value out there and I'm sure it could be found on the continent somewhere. I liked Enrique at Newcastle, always seemed solid and a hardworker, not offering a lot going forward but defensively more than adequate. Having watched Adam the last two weeks I think he's improved, he looks a lot better now than he did early season.
Kenny shown today how tactically clueless he was. Whilst we were consistently picked off on the counter today, Fergie's United thwarted City t'other week and created a host of chances.
Fergie is going to give him a call to get some tips, whilst they're chatting, he's going to ask how to beat Spurs, Norwich, Swansea and Sunderland. Oh wait........... 3 points from 12. In Kenny we trust.
Thought that Balo red was harsh. Kompany should've been well off if the ref was being that strict all game.
The 2nd yellow was harsh but as so often happens he paid the price for a completely unecessary first card. I think he's better starting in the high pressure games. Sitting on the bench just winds him up.
If we'd held onto the lead for more than 2 mins it might have turned out differently but we were definitely wobbling at the end.
I think we had the better weekend compared to United.

It's an odd one that.
Personally, I like him, but yesterday wasn't his game. We'd have needed Suarez just off him and the 2 wide players to give him some service, which would have left us too exposed in the midfield for my liking. That said, he needs to start getting more game time especially at Anfield.

Yep, City players have a questionable attitude, do not work hard and have never played in cold weather. We also have no team spirit.
Oh wait….we are top of the league and quite clearly the best team in the country. You really should not rely on the likes of Shaun Custis for your information.
With the exception of 10 mins in the first-half we were clearly the better team although we lacked a cutting edge. I would have thought that at home, Liverpool would have been more ambitious. We controlled the tempo and looked physically stronger and much more like a team. The timing of the equaliser was terrible for us but on the balance of the game, what they deserved at the very least.
In the second-half, we were never first to the second balls and struggled to keep up with runners off the ball. We were quite simply very tired and it was becoming increasingly obvious as the game went on. This was not helped by Nasri being a passenger.
In the end I was relieved with the point considering it was after a draining game in Napoli.
Surprised that Lucas was MOTM when Barry bossed the midfield for 60mins, passed the ball effectively and had to carry a very tired Milner and Tioure for the last 30mins. Not surprised Barry is overlooked as none of the media talk about him even though he has clearly been our best central midfielder. I guess the media are still obsessed with the ‘world class’ Scotty Parker.
One more thing…..is there a more disgusting, grubby footballer than Suarez (apart from Tevez)? I know players occasionally cheat, but I have never come across a player before who looks to cheat at all possible opportunities.
Liverpool for me a turning into a horrible team to watch with the likes of Skrtel, Suarez and Adam. Horrid characters.

Adam's not a dirty player, he just can't tackle - same excuse Scholes used to have trotted out for him so he could spend 90 minutes looking for someone to kick.

If we're turning into a horrid team, then WTF are Citeh? This is the club that have employed some of those wonderful characters like Tevez, Balotelli, Adebayor, de Jong and even made a big push for John Terry! F**k me mate, I don't think I've ever seen you this bitter. You're seething.
