I at least thought he would've had him A1 to compensate for having his incompetent son on board, but never mind, obviously didn't. Would you catch Cecil sending a horse into a race in those circumstances? At least his get beat because then it is because of the ground, trip, jockey error, i.e. something that can't be forseen. Not due to lacking fitness. Gonna have a look at tomorrows cards now.


Done Blue Bunting @ 11/4 and Wild Coco @ 15/8.

Track will play to BB's strengths and Dettori can unleash her late on like he did at the Curragh. Zarooni very happy with her by all accounts and can make the weight allowance count.

Wild Coco hated Goodwood and the firm ground was unsuitable against decent horses. Won on fast on debut but probably her class was the telling factor. The drop in trip will help too, and hopefully can run as she did at Newmarket.

York 3.05 Pendragon 14/1 EW

Its come 4th in its last two handicap over a mile both were very hot races and the form of those in front has been boosted since.

What a cracker that was between Blue Bunting and Vita Nova.

Last chance for Wild Coco, that was. Glad I had double on BB, to what I had on Wild Coco. If a horse has one bad run and its at somewhere like Epsom or (in her case) Goodwood, it can be forgiven but she ran a stinker again today with the ground and track looking set to suit.

Poor ride from Queally there IMO. The poor start didn't help him but he never looked like getting it in the race, saying that the horse didn't look up to much and like you said that was probably its last chance for me.

One over the jumps, Yabora - 5:50 Fontwell - 9/2

Runs here of a career low mark at 105, but 9 months was competing in a grade 2 hurdle off 122. He's obviously declined since and recently joined Dr Richard Newlands yard and hopefully the switch in yard can help him re-capture some of his older form which would see him take this.

Yeah but to be fair mate, she did seem to move up a little coming round the corner when he began to niggle, but as soon as asked to stretch after the leaders it was all one paced.

After the season Blue Bunting has had, it got me thinking... would be mightily interesting to see the results if she was ever in foal to Sea The Stars. I would be tempted to go for the triple crown with it! Or what about Frankel and Goldikova - probably an undefeatable miler and would have family winners on all types of ground.

Certainly a pair of yearlings Godolphin, Coolmore, PKA, or any other racing mega power would be prepared to splash copious millions on!

Gonna have a better look at tomorrows racing later on, but nothing jumps out at me as yet.
Back in profit anyway, done my profit from Excelebration and French Navy on ATD yesterday, but got it back so thats all that matters - not gonna push for something that isn't there. Cracking days' racing on Saturday with a eye-catching card at the Curragh, may even wait til then and give York tomorrow a miss.

Did'nt get to watch anything today, but with hindsight, Wild Coco would have been a lay. You can run unexposed handicappers as many times as you want to, but pattern class is a different ballgame. She was proberley feeling the effects of her previous races, give her a break, and find something in October.
