NFL rule that throwing a punch is an ejection and 7.5k fine so by that rule it was an ejection. I also never downplayed the Lions, they played 100mph and sent jailbreak blitzes like it was the Superbowl in a pre-season game, fair play to them for doing that but the fact is the Patriots were also terrible and the right side of the offensive line (and Koppen) should be embarrassed, totally inept performance by them and Brady wasn't much better.
You are still trying to say that's a punch? Embarrassing. That type of thing happens 10 times a game. Would kill the game if we are to boot players for that. Take a look at the Johnson-Finnegan scrap for example of throwing punches.

Dan Dierdorff came to the conclusion it was because NE left 6 starters at home but it wasn't, it just looked like Detroit actually wanted to win...for some reason.
That is a clear attempt to belittle your opponent. It's week 3 of the pre-season. The one game that teams take seriously is week 3. You got mullered by the Lions and are trying to pass it off as if you weren't taking it seriously, why else would Brady take a beating for 3 quarters?
