5 game ban, despite Tony Pulis making almost identical comments about a ref earlier in the season and not even getting a warning. Yet people will still claim the FA favour Utd.
If Pulis does a David Icke, he might just manage to get a tenth of the publicity that Fergie gets if he says good morning. Did you even know that Pulis had made similar comments, before you read about someone whining about it on a Yanited blog?
The fact is that Fergie is one of the worst offenders for giving refs grief. He's a serial offender and he's blatantly done it again. And done it again after a very high profile game. While also refusing to fulfil his media obligations, which many people question how he can get away with.
I think the FA are similar to the refs. They are fair, they just aren't very good. They try their best but they're in a difficult position and they get it from all sides. The 5 games are pretty much a standard punishment when you consider 1) He was already on a suspended sentence, 2) He went even further that he did before and 3) He denied the charge, when he was blatantly guilty.
