Born To Sea was very impressive, though, being by Invincible Spirit, a bit of cut in the ground will certainly favour him. 12f will be no problem in future.

Not looked at todays French card, but believe Excelebration is down for the Moulin and would be my idea of the winner, hopefully, the race will bring on Zoffany for the QE2 against Frankel.

As for Seville, he's now put in the same basket as Simon de Montfort. Needs a distance and softer ground to account for his lack of acceleration. Sea Moon became the 3rd York group winner to be turned over next time out this week.

Have I got it right and they have got it wrong, or am I missing something? I don't bet often so thought I would check on here to see what people think before I chase it up with Bet 365.

Two to get stuck into today are

4:55 Newbury - Dank - A 2yr old from SMS making his debut he has been beating Protect at home quite comfortably and his inmate was recently beaten a short distance by My Queenie

8:30 Wolves - Global Village has won 5 out of 7fl handicaps on the all weather been out of sorts lately but there's been a bit of money for it and im told today is may see him come back to form today.

If I hadn't of been at work today I woulda backed Dubai Prince. Didn't fancy taking him with Tazeez in opposition, as he would probably of made a decent go of things, but when Tazeez was pulled out it was clear he was running against a load of mediocre horses (at best).

Tomorrow's racing looks average. A near 30-runner sprint feature at Ayr, and some very tight looking conditions races elsewhere. Its either gonna be a case of looking through the Newbury card, or picking out three or four for the Ayr Gold Cup in hope of finding a winner (like last year).

Shame there's nothing remotely decent in Ireland this weekend.

Newbury 15:40 - Deacon Blues 2/1

Dropped in trip and coming back from a bad scope but if its on form these won't get near it, its run to 123 is well clear of anything these have done so far.

Ayr 16:30 - Poet @ 15/8

Loves soft ground and to run from the front so this small field should suit it perfect.

Poet and Deacon Blues double pays just under 7/1.

That will do.
