Very strange. Not rated him for years to be honest. Skrtel and Agger have shown over the past couple of seasons that they aren't up to it. Agger has been exposed so many times this year, and people are saying he should be vice captain! Toure doesn't make much sense because he's not very good, if it was for his experience, I'd get it if he was somebody like Hyypia, who was an old head but reads the game well. Toure is just not that good.

Very strange and slightly worrying really as a Liverpool fan.

Skrtel and Agger both have seemed to have gone backwards, is it down to Rodgers passing ideology that they struggle with and have lost confidence? When their best assets are just old fashioned centre back play, getting rid of the danger. Coates has rarely impressed me when he's played - Kolo Toure certainly doesn't seem to be the answer. He looks to have lost pace and continually makes basic errors.

We really do need a dominating centre half. The whole of the back line could do with being replaced to be honest.

It's probably just because Liverpool don't have much money to spend. He's not a bad signing and can't be any worse than Carragher.

Played well for City alongside Kompany, poor when partnered with anyone else. Needs a big dominant partner like Kompany or Sol Campbell

Whatever your opinion on women's football, a fuss needs to be kicked up about this... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22694564 The FA's decision to promote Manchester City Ladies and relegate Doncaster Belles, without either being in the respective relegation or promotion positions, is ludicrous and seems to be based on nothing more than money. If they believe they can get away with this in the women's game, how long before they start tinkering with the structure of the men's game to suit their own needs?
