Sad news about Jarvis. Bad week for the racing world.
Onto better things hopefully. My horse to watch this season makes its debut over fences tomorrow at Perth. Champion Court who was well touted for the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham when running 4th behind Bobs Worth. Ive read Keighleys blog and Champ has schooled very well at they expect this one to go very far this year over the larger obstacles.
""I'm really excited about getting him started. He's done everything right at home, his work has been good and his schooling has been very good," said the Gloucestershire-based handler. "He's always looked a chasing type and, to see him school, you can just see he is made for the job. "He obviously did very well over hurdles and hopefully he can go right to the top over fences. "We're starting him off quite early but the last two winters have been very bad and I just thought if we can get some nice ground, we might as well get some experience into him. "That is why we've travelled to Perth, as it's lovely ground up here. "I've left plenty to work on, as you would expect, but he should be fit enough to get the job done."
Mccoys on board as stable jockey Ian Popham had an accident on the gallops and will be out for a bit, but Im not his biggest fan anyway despite Keighley holding him in high regard. If the 7/4 thats knocking around is available tonight or tomorrow morning I'll be having a decent bet on this.
Keighley has also sent Court In Session and Sky Calling up tomorrow which look to have chances too, although Hard To Swallow was expected to go well today before going onto better things over hurdles and was put in his place to be honest been well beaten.
