Aspas' older brother, Jonathan, is also a footballer. Both were groomed at Celta by Jimmy Saville. Iago, in his spare time, is Batman and his hero is Dirk Kuyt whom he regularly plays boules with . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iago_Aspas

The FA's decision to promote Manchester City Ladies and relegate Doncaster Belles, without either being in the respective relegation or promotion positions, is ludicrous and seems to be based on nothing more than money. If they believe they can get away with this in the women's game, how long before they start tinkering with the structure of the men's game to suit their own needs?

And the worse thing is that no matter where Doncaster finish in the league this season, they will be playing in the 2nd tier next season. It's a joke, but that's the Football Association for you.

Why am I trolling ??? If Liverpool were any good I'd say.... I'm neutral as far as club football so no axe to grind with Liverpool. Would you be trolling if on a rl thread said cas were poop ???

Very strange and slightly worrying really as a Liverpool fan.

Skrtel and Agger both have seemed to have gone backwards, is it down to Rodgers passing ideology that they struggle with and have lost confidence? When their best assets are just old fashioned centre back play, getting rid of the danger. Coates has rarely impressed me when he's played - Kolo Toure certainly doesn't seem to be the answer. He looks to have lost pace and continually makes basic errors.

We really do need a dominating centre half. The whole of the back line could do with being replaced to be honest.

I've said before we could do with a whole new back four in all honesty. With regards to Agger and Skrtel; Agger just switches off too often, way too many players capitalise on his mistakes and there's no hiding when you're a centre half. Skrtel is fairly similar but he's been out of the frame for a while. Skrtel has struggled with set pieces throughout his Liverpool career, it appears he can't win his place back so don't be surprised if he leaves.

There's rumours we're after the Greek lad at Schalke (it's easier to say that than spell his name), I've seen him a few times on ESPN and he looks good, but will he solve the problems? Especially when both full backs and goalkeeper have struggled this year as well. There was an article a while back talking about Liverpool's mediocrity in midfield being culpable for the drop in defensive form, maybe it's true, but I don't believe that many individual errors can be placed on the midfield's shoulders.

Who is he? From Wikipedia it seems he's a 25 year old striker who scored 12 goals this season and that it's his first season in top flight football. Strange one. Another Borini?

Dear oh dear oh dear, that is absolutely appalling. Couldn't be anything to do with the fact that the name is 'Manchester City' could it?

Utterly diabolical

He's a decent player. Swansea were after him in January and I reckon it's a result of that - "Laudrup signed Michu on the cheap and he's found another one" sort of thinking - that's pushed the price up. He's not going to set the world on fire, he's not going to go and get 20+ goals next season, he's probably not worth £6m, but he is a decent player.
