Liverpool were offered Cristiano a year earlier for around £5 million, they declined though as they didn't think there fans would be happy with further investment in potential rather than established stars.

Good to see the Suaz owning up and admitting his true feelings about Liverpool. He's got to be sold surely, you can't keep a player that doesn't want to play for you any more, not when he's worth £20m.

If Liverpool had any sense, they would offer him to Monaco for £40m.

I don't speak Uruguayan (Spanish?) so I don't know if the above quote has been twisted as part of the coordinated bullying campaign aimed at forcing him into leaving the country, but he wasn't talking about the press when he said the above. It would seem he's having a go at the players and staff with that comment?

How do you Liverpool fans feel about this? Roddy, you've always backed him?

So from those two I think someone is trying to stitch Suarez up by misquoting him.

Now, IF your quote is accurate, then Suarez is an absolute Kevin Hunt, after pretty much everyone associated with LFC has shamed themselves with their ridiculous defence of him. No matter what he's done they've been there saying that what he did wasn't even that bad.

There have also been quotes that Suarez wants to leave because him and his family all hate the Liverpool area and stay inside all the time. Again, these just come across as made up quotes to create problems.

Even with his baggage.... £20m ??? They should ask for double that to any team interested imo

The problem is that Liverpool will waste a large chunk of that on unsuccessful signings. That's not a dig at Liverpool, just that no club gets good value from all of their signings. If you've got a player that's doing well for you its usually best to hang on to them, personality issues aside, rather than cash in.
