Thing is, c.26 million for him, that's almost Shevchenko money - yet in terms of flop natter, he never gets a mention. Well, I've not seen a worse 26 million spent in the Premiership this season.
To be fair to him, he’s been “£26m” for a few months. Last season he was excellent in midfield. Prior to that he always looked like a Championship winger. This season he has been played on the wing. Thus he has looked distinctly average. If Mancini used him as a central midfielder, which would benefit the team a great deal IMO, then he may look to be a better player.
On the subject of bias, David Silva gets very few plaudits even though he is clearly a class player. However, Lampard scores a couple of pens and gets a couple of goals from deflections off someone elses backside and he is suddenly Super Fwank again.
England....a win against a poor team and all of a sudden we have found the solution - Michael Dawson, Darren Bent and Scott Parker. Embarrassing. Three players with little football intelligence and technical ability. Gawd, we love a trier.....
