Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is a "pioneer" who has transformed football in his decade at the club I think it's hard to disagree with this. The question is, has football transformed into something better, worse, or neither?

Man United have gone from winning 7 out of the 10 PL titles before Roman came to 5 in the decade after. There were 3 winners win the decade before, 3 in the decade after. Pretty much the main thing that Chelsea and the Sheik have done is stop Man United from dominating the PL as much as they would have. I do think it is better that there are 3 strong challengers rather than just one club dominating and the occasional scrap picked up by someone else, but it's clearly not ideal.

The main thing the Sheik and Roman have done is show that you don't have to build a football club, or 'earn' your right to the top. They've brought a feeling of 'winning the lottery' to football clubs, where it doesn't matter what position you're in, or what state your club is in, if the billionaire picks your name out of the hat, you're heading to the top whether you deserve it or not.

They've also taken away the element of 'fantasy' about football. There was a time when reading a player like Aguero coming to England was the stuff of fantasy, but now it's just another player coming to England. Can you believe a player like Robben played over here? No, you can't, because he's just a run of the mill world class player that was deemed surplus by a billionaire.

Unlikely, I'd think. 147-0 isn't it?
Obviously it doesn't bode well for Tahiti who were beaten 7-0 by the Colombian U20 side as they prepared for the tournament.

31-0 seems to be the record for "International" football. Australia beat American Samoa.

I reckon Spain will win about 20-0. The main reason they won't get the record is because they'll be passing too much when they could be scoring.
