I disagree. If we're building a club we need to ensure some stability and by keeping hold of Mancini we're doing that. I know there are a few people (particularly non-fans of the club) that think the success should come overnight bearing in mind the investment that's been put in. However, I'm hoping our owners are divorced from this decrepit capitalist idiom that investment demands instant return. You cannot build a club by chopping and changing managers every couple of years. Mancini is building a team that plays attractive football and yes he's come a cropper a couple of times but who hasn't? The club appear to be backing him and that is the way to go for me. If he fails spectacularly they can afford to pay him off but no amount of money can make up for instability.
As for Mourinho, he'd do a job and he has a great CV but I'm not one of them that wants winning at any cost (I know others are) and that brand of anti-football isn't what we should be looking for. It's a shame that Brendan Rodgers took the Swansea job because had he come to City something really special could have happened. As it is now, I wouldn't want to disrupt that for Mourinho who brings with him other factors which I don't think would sit comfortably with our owners i.e. I think we're aiming to be an exceptionally professional sporting organisation and Mourinho has some qualities which don't mesh well with that aim.
