Krasota, viara i borba

So, caught up on the Cowboys game.

Silly mistakes and one great play cost us. I'm not down heartened, the O-Line gave Romo time, keeping Austin, Witten and Bryant on the field will be key, Ogeltree is ok backing up. The D looked "alright" until they fell into the injury table one by one.

I think we'll make the playoffs, probably as wild card, and lose out at game one.

Chargers won last night, but were hardly impressive. When that opening kick off was returned I could've sobbed, but they sorted themselves out in defence and gave the stuttering offence time in possesion to win it. Apart from one AP run the D was superb. Fair play to Manuskey. Spikes and Sanders slotted in like the class acts they are and I was very happy with first round pick Luiget and Donald Butler who missed all last season with injury alongside Takeo.

We had Mike Scrifes - our punter - kicking for us as Kaeding injured himself trying to tackle Percy Harvin on that first kick return.

Glad it looks like the Cheifs are exactly what I thought they would be this season. They'll be lucky to get 4 wins this year. SD's biggest challengers for the West is Oakland for me.

Are you for real??

Danny Amendola out for 8-10 weeks, yet again a St Louis receiver out for pretty much the whole year for the 3rd year in a row. It happened to Robinson two years ago, Clayton and Avery last year and Amendola this year

Don't you lot usually start rubbish anyway?

Speaking of starting rubbish, watched last night again. It won't be that bad again all season, literally nothing went right in the entire first half. Collins is obviously a big downgrade on Manning (who isn't?) but on occasions the pocket held up and he showed what he can do. I think the Colts' brutal schedule will end up being the main reason why we're watching the postseason this time around....

Still, one of Peyton's major weapons was he could see a blitz from a mile away, Collins can't seem to do that.

The Autumn Wind is a pirate
Blustering in from sea,
With a rollocking song, he sweeps along,
Swaggering boisterously.

His face is weather beaten.
He wears a hooded sash,
With a silver hat about his head,
And a bristling black mustache.

He growls as he storms the country,
A villain big and bold.
And the trees all shake and quiver and quake,
As he robs them of their gold.

The Autumn Wind is a raider,
Pillaging just for fun.
He'll knock you 'round and upside down,
And laugh when he's conquered and won.

Not saying you won't be right about some of it but it seemed like it was pretty much a knee jerk statement based on one game - I think you're a bit premature with saying Newton's the real deal after one game in the NFL, although I did like what I saw and he made some nice throws. I'm not totally sold on Kolb yet and I don't really see what he's done yet in the NFL to justify the hype he gets from some of the experts. I like Fitzpatrick and the guy's a smart player, but he's got a low ceiling.

Bit early yet to be calling Cam Newton the real deal just yet and Kevin Kolb is another we should wait on too.

Great week for us :( What's meant to be up with Bartell? Thought it was just a stinger?
