The best deal of the summer completed today, the Ginger Baresi Paul McShane has signed a new 2 year contract at Hull City.
In all seriousness I'm pleased with our business so far, we've kept ourselves to ourselves and strengthened well, signing our best players to new deals - Chester, McShane, Faye and Rosenior, as well as getting some great value from the market, McGregor, Davies, Figeroa, El Mohammady, Boyd and Austin all signed for less than £10 million is brilliant business IMO.
I really think we'll stay up next season, and pretty comfortably if we bring in a midfielder and another striker.

Come off it please, on paper Hull should comfortably go down. Only Palace have a worse squad.

Palace are comfortably worse than us, Stoke will struggle next year since Hughes is garbage, as will Cardiff. Sunderland will be complete unknowns but I reckon they'll implode in about October. Can also see West Brom suffering from second season syndrome, and the same with Norwich and Southampton.
Shame about Austin, I reckon he'd have got goals galore, but the fact we've cancelled the deal gives my reason to be positive, because last time around we'd have took the gamble.
I must saying having Bob in charge is far, far more interesting than having Moysey. Alright, we are quite likely to end up in relegation trouble, but it's fun for now. Signing four players in two days is pretty much unheard of for Everton.
Kone is quality, he should score 15 for us and also the competition should get Jelavic going again. Alcaraz I haven't seen much nor the keeper Joel, but he seemed to do well in Wigan's cup run and will hopefully provide some competition to Tim Howard.
Everton signing a winger from Barcelona is a new idea, made up with that signing, even if it is just a loan. He looks a quality player, they just had some old codger on the radio saying he'll be the most talented player in the Premier League next season. Not seen much of him, but the kids on youtube seem to think he's the next big thing for Barca.
Looking at some of Norwich's business, they seem to have pulled off some cracking signings and could easily be in the hunt for the top 6 or 7 if it goes to plan for them. Leroy Fer is another rumoured to be about to sign for them. The extra Sky money looks like it's going to really strengthen the mid table sides with the likes of Norwich and Southampton in particular splashing out.

Have you opined on how Moyes will do at United? I know you'd been suggesting for a while that he'd done all he could at Everton and it'd be the best for you both if he was to go. I don't remember seeing you write about him taking over at United though.
Do you WANT him to be a successful Man Utd manager, the rightful heir to Fergie, or would you prefer to see him crash and burn?

Seen him play and if he gets played as a winger next season, Everton will be missing out big time.

Not really that radical, you had one from Real Madrid the season before last.
Kone a decent signing, Alcaraz seems an odd one IMO. Not as good as you've got and questionable discipline.
