Train into Liverpool Lime Street, come out of main entrance ( empire theatre to the right, Royal Court opposite), cross busy road and head for Central station. underground straight to Aintree. Tube station is outside the course. Give it 30-45 minutes to leave after racing, can be a bit of a free- for-all

Really accessible mate, if you get off the train at Lime Street it's a couple of minutes walk to Central Station take the Ormskirk train to Aintree Station and the it's literally across the road from the course. Buses will also run from town but it's probably easier to get the train as it won't take as long and obviously no traffic.

3.45 Donny - Seal Rock 8/1 EW - 5 places

Backed it at 18/1 last time was smashed into and just came up short running to 102 its on same mark as that race today.

Iver Bridge Lad 25/1 EW - 5 Places

Better then ever this year running to RPR of 111 came back with a fair run in Group 1 De L'Abbaye in France after 4 months off, Michael O'Connell can claim his 3lbs today which puts its mark down to 102 which would give it a good chance if finding near its best.

Master Minded back in action tomorrow clear round and he should be an easy winner, Albertas Run is more of a horse for the spring. Even though he has won at this time of year he always does look that little bit better at the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals.

I still think it depends on which Master Minded turns up this weekend, if the MM from April turns up it should be a straight forward win but if the MM we've seen before that turns up it could be a different story.

that must be the worst Racing Post line up, I think I've ever seen, and as for the Old Roan....jeez, and these trainers moan about prize money. Chepstow looks the best of the cards.

2.15 Newbury - 4/1 Saigon

Running well time after time in Group races and was staying well in the Middle Park, has best form and should be bang in there.

After backing Saigon mainly because of its Middle Park run although its run well in Group races before that, am going to have to back this as well due to it being one length behind Saigon last time.

2.30 Donny - 9/2 West Leake Diman

Won its first two races before a poor run and then coming 12th here behind Reply which sounds bad but that race is full of horses coming out and performing well, West Leake Diman then came 7th in Middle Park running to 106 which is well clear of these

Racing Post Trophy - Zip Top @ 10/1 EW

Race has cut up so only 6 runners now in the betting it looks like other 5 are in a battle to finish 2nd to Camelot, Zip Top could be the best of those having run well in a Group 3 over 7f which it was staying on well in so the step up to the mile should suit, also Crusade who was behind that day won a Group 1 since and Letsgoroundagain won a Listed race well to boost the form.

There are a lot better 2yo races than the RP trophy nowadays. Look at the past few. Casamento has done nothing much this year. Seville has been a reliable yardstick without ever looking like winning a race. Dubawi Gold is what he is, a usefull horse that will always be outclassed at G1. Rest have done nothing. As for the year before, St Nicholas Abbey has proven himself to be able to hold his own at G1 level but isn't the wonder horse some expected. Elusive Pimpernel doesn't appear to have trained on, neither does Al Zir. Again, the rest have faded into obscurity. In 2008 there were a few decent sorts, Jukebox Jury has went on to do quite well for connections. Crowded House obviously didn't train on. Sri Putra has ran a few decent races with the Eclipse second last year probably a career best. Not much else worth mentioning. Last high class horses to come out of this race are Derby winners Authorized, Motivator, Septimus & Dylan Thomas. Irish Derby winner Frozen Fire ran in it but, aside from the Irish Derby, did little else of note.
