I said a few weeks ago that City hadn't played many decent teams, people tried to argue with me. They now have picked up only 1 point our of 6 against Chelsea and Liverpool with Arsenal to come. United are only two off the pace despite being a phantom 7 points behind according to the media, after the Newcastle draw.

United have only ever been five points behind after a round of fixtures.
At the end of the day, City have now got the four of the five hardest away games out of the way (United, Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea) and are still two points clear at the top of the table. United still have four of those five to go to.
If you'd have asked any of us in August would City have been top with virtually all of the hard away games in the first fifteen games of the season, no-one would have said yes.

Stoke (a) very tough. Everton (a) very tough. I think you've lost at both in the past 12 months. Still some hard away games to come. It's in United's hands as well now.

We didn't lose at Stoke and Everton are not what they were.
Either way, United's fixture list over the last 23 games is harder than City's and we have a two points advantage. We also have a significantly deeper squad.
Before the Liverpool game I said that if we got one point out of the Liverpool/Chelsea games then we'd still be on course and I'd be happy. I also assumed that United would be level with us as I didn't factor in them dropping points against Newcastle.
Therefore we are two points ahead of where I thought and only have one of the big boys left to play away from home. Defeat on Sunday might change my opinion but a record of W 2 D 1 L 1 F 13 A 5 - away to the big four is almost certainly not going to be bettered by anyone this season, and I would suggest you may well have to do that to stay in the race.

Sorry, they beat you 3-1 in feb last year. Memory a bit sketchy, still not an easy place to go for you or any team. Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and us have all struggled there the past year or so. So you were happy with a point at Fulham? A bit strange. A long way to go. City are a great team and rightly favourites for the league, just not as great as everybody makes out.
P.S Where has your "Warrington Wolves, the Manchester City of Rugby league" sig gone. This is the only time it has been correct.

Of course I wasn't happy with a point at Fulham. Where did I suggest I was? I don't suppose you were happy with a point at home to Newcastle either, or a drubbing at home to us for that matter, but these things happen to the best of us from time to time.
PS It'll only be appropriate if we finish top of the Premier League and they decide to give us a bin lid instead of a trophy.

Massive win for the blues. Thought Man City were lucky to have 10 men on the pitch.
Yaya certainly could have gone but, then again, Meireles should have gone and we should have had a penalty to make it 2-0. Would have been more or less all over before Chelsea had passed it to a fellow blue shirt if the ref had been on the ball.
