Agreed, Cole was poor as an attcking outlet, Bosingwa too - his delivery is terrible. It's a shame that Luiz is banned as it forces Carlo to play Bosingwa at RB - Chelsea always look stronger with Ivanovic at RB.
I think Drogba is finished. I don't say this lightly, I think it probably goes back to that Malaria that he got earlier in the season. I think Jimmy Greaves had something similar and never fully recovered, it sort of takes something out of your body. That's how I see Drogba now, he looks half a yard slow, not sharpness in a way like Torres has done at times or Rooney, hard to explain.
Maybe, you could be right, I haven't seen alot of him this season, but I thought he did okay in the short time he was on the field, did nothing special, but at the same time didn't do alot wrong.
I've always like Ivanovic. I think he's a solid defender, who makes some great tackles, and is good in the air. Although, he's no Carvalho, IMO and that's who Chelski never replaced, although this Luiz looks like a very good player from what I've seen of him. Maybe he can be the one to reform that strong partnership Carvalho and Terry had in the centre of defence?

Luiz is a class act, sure. I think people have forgotten about Alex. He's been very good for Chelsea also. Chelsea always look at their strongest when it's :-
Ivanovic > Alex/Luiz > Terry > A.Cole.
Bosingwa was at fault for the goal, he got massively caught under the ball - poor.
When you're diving in to a challenge in the box and not getting near the ball you're asking for trouble.
agreed. But they even themselves out apparently. If so we've got three years of them kind of decisions at your place.

If instead of stumbling over weakly, Torres had sliced the ball into the stand Vidic would've been praised for his presence putting off Torres. Surely his presence could have caused Torres to stumble in a similar way? There were no appeals from Torres or any Chelsea players.
He didn't slice it though did he? He went over looking for a penalty.

I agree about the initial contact on Ramires being outside the box, but the contact continued while they were going in the box and so it was more than enough for a pen.
If the initial foul was outside the box a free kick wouldve been the "right" call. I wouldn't be complaining too much if it was given though. It was boarder line.

I take your point but he looked the most likely to get a goal.
I thought Torres was. He looked more lively tonight, and seemed to enjoying coming in from the right and running at the defence. He was unlucky with the flick from the cross (I'm not sure he actually touched it, mind), and then there was that great save from Van der Sar in the second half to keep his header out. Nearly 600 minutes, I'm sure I read without him scroing for Chelski, although I fear that when he does get one, he'll get loads, but I'm not complaining one bit whilst he's still on his drought!

Alex is a solid player, who I like to watch but I feel this Luiz is the next best thing, and can see Alex leaving in the summer, struggled with injuiry problems of late and even Ivanovic, a prefered right back, seems to be higher dup in the pecking order.
He was at fault indeed, and even as a Liverpool fan, you've got admire the touch form Giggs, the weight of the touch was sublime. Although, who was meant to be marking Rooney? It was awful defending. United's most dangerous player unmarked ten yards out as United counter - very poor.

Hernandez's movement was outstanding. He dragged John Terry right across goal.

Aye, he's a cracking little player. Great movement, good touch, good in the air and a real poacher for goals. Not bad ingriedients at all for a 22 year old striker. He's really impressed me in his first season.
