Was talking to a city fan at the BBC xmas doo. He was your average city fan 'manchester is blue' etc. When I asked him about being the worlds richest club he said: 'it doesn't matter that much, we still won't be able to buy a forward line of the quality of Berbatov, Ronaldo, Rooney.'
The man talks sense.
Oh, and just to clear it up, he lives in that city stronghold known as Cheadle.
Why is it so funny to say Young is better than Robinho?
I'm not saying he is, but Young is one of the prem's most productive players, he works hard and he's consistent.
Real Madrid were considering a move for Young in the summer, I think they're a major club, it wouldn't surprise me to see one or two other big clubs across Europe taking a look, but I very much doubt Villa will sell.
Sorry, fella. Your post lost credibility in the last paragraph. This is the Real Madrid who have Faubert in their ranks, and wanted to sign Pennant.
Young is doing well at the moment. People are judging him on what he has done for, what is essentially, a few weeks. He will never be a top international winger because he hasn't got enough tricks to beat a player. He suits a team who plays football on the break but IMO he is ineffective when the defence is set.
Anderson-son-son
He's better than Kleberson
Anderson-son-son-son
He's our midfield magician
On the left, on the right
Do the Samba beat tonight
He is class, he sh*gs brass
And he sh*ts on Fabregas
Sheddy, you lacking attention? I'll give tyou some. I dismnissed your post from yesterday but I thought that I should at least acknowledge your existence today
Berbatov or Robbie? "We've got Robhino"
If "Robbie" was so special he would have a better international goal scoring record than 19 in 59 games. I think his record is on par with Ronaldo's, a player who is played as a winger and who hasnt had the luxry of being part of a team as talented as Brazil. He's even lucky to reached 19 considering the bulk of his goals for Brazil have come in exhibition/friendly games against opponents such as Hong Kong, Canada, Kuwait and any other no mark nation that they've played over the years.
Even in this seasons games he has done fuck all, did he even complete a pass in the 2-0 defeat to Paraguay? More worringly did he make it out of the changing rooms and onto the pitch in the goalless draws against Bolivia, Columbia and Argentina.
A lot of teams beat us, do a lap of honour and don't stop running. They live too long on one good result. I remember Jimmy Adamson crowing after Burnley had beaten us once and that his players were in a different league. At the end of the season they were.

He was quality last year, second in the assists table behind only Fabregas IIRC.
The difference between Pennant, Faubert and Young; is that Faubert was a loan, Pennant would have been for dirt cheap but Ashley Young would have been 20m+.
Faubert is a quick fix, Pennant would have been the same, Ramos wants width and he identified Young as the player to bring that, Villa weren't willing to sell.
What do you mean, he doesn't have enough tricks? Young regularly beats his man and delivers consistently good service, not only is his crossing good, but his passing has improved vastly, MON has played him in the hole several times this season and last season.
I'd say Robinho is probably better now, and a more established player, but as Young starts to break into the England squad, and maybe even gets CL football under his belt next season, I don't see any reason why he can't surpass Robinho.

More clubs would come in for Young or Ribery if they wanted a left winger. Big clubs too. I think Milan were believed to want Ribery, Bayern slapped a £40m price tag on him.
More clubs would come in for Robinho if they wanted a frontman, or an off the front player.
They are kind of the reverse of each other, Young plays best as a left winger who can play off the front, as he did at Everton away and at Watford.
Robinho is a frontman, who can play left wing or as the left of a three as he has done at Man City but isn't as effective hence why City are in the bottom half of the table.

The worst team in South America is probably better than more than half of the teams in Europe.
How did Robbie play against Portugal a few weeks ago?
Surely one of the reasons Brazil are so good is because of Robihno. It's also harder to keep your place in the Brazil team.
He's even lucky to reached 19 considering the bulk of his goals for Brazil have come in exhibition/friendly games against opponents such as Hong Kong, Canada, Kuwait and any other no mark nation that they've played over the years.

Best player in the Copa America
Robinho is wank.
So to sum up your post: Anyone not as good as Ronaldo is !"$*? That would surely mean Rooney (most overrated talent in world football and no top European clubs have ever shown an interest in him), Berbatov, Frazier Campbell ( ), Manucho ( ) and Wellbeck ( ) are all !"$*
