At the moment the reluctant players aren't playing because they're "injured".
It's not from the clubs side that the players aren't being played, it is the players who are faking injuries to try and force their moves.
But the games ATM are meaningless anyway. From next week Rooney and Bale will start being picked again. It will be interesting to see if the players are prepared to sit out league games to force their moves.
But I don't think it is in any of the "selling" clubs interest to have any of the players sitting in the stands during a league campaign. If they manage to hold on to the players, they don't want them missing games, they want their players to get over their disappointment on missing out on moves and getting back to playing at their peak.
There's no way on earth Liverpool, Spurs and Man Utd can pull a Malouda with players like Suarez, Bale and Rooney. Only Man Utd could possibly do it because Rooney isn't as essential to them, but they aren't going to want to be paying him 200k a week to spite him. They just don't want him doing an RVP at Chelsea.
