Taking him on. Was at Wetherby a few weeks back when Havingotascoobydo won a little 3 runner race at long odds on. He jumped well bar one mistake early on which sorted its mind on the game. At 8/1 each way today I think its a cracking price, the horse has a lot of speed and if he jumps these well I think he could quicken away from them, touch wood.

Champ runs later, tough tough tough race again, but hes a fair price too at around 7/1. Will be having nothing more than an interest bet on it as its a cracking race to end the day with and like Scooby, if he jumps well he must go close.

Had a bet on Steps To Freedom, and thought he was beat going for home but dug well. Fair credit, after not finding much off the bridle after travelling like a dream.

Dunno whether to back Cue Card or not. This looks more his trip than Grand Crus, who would also want softer ground, but at the same time if Grand Crus adapts to fences he is, pound for pound, the better horse.

Went for Cue Card at 7/4, never mind most of profit still in-tact.
Point proved again why Nicholls got shot of Tizzard and the only person who will put him on a decent horse is his father. Even if he hadn't been unseated, would of had to go some to get close to the winner.

I like Wishful Thinking for the Paddy Power. Wouldn't at all be surprise if Divers' run at Carlisle the other week was a pure mess about and he runs a blinder off a low weight. Hinterland and Restless Harry should justify short odds favouritism.

Oscargo looks to have a chance of doing the same. Could be chucked in at the weights. But Rossmore Lad should also have plenty more to come, don't think Battle Group can be discounted either as he was 4th in the Coral Cup at the Festival.

Good Novice chaser in 2008 winning Grade 2 running to 155 and looking set for The Festival in 2009 but it hit problems with only one run in 2010 before being eased back over hurdles this year by King, it went back over fences last month off top weight in a Listed race coming 2nd and would of been closer but for a faller infront of it, King was made up with that run and it goes off a really low weight of 10st tomorrow which Thornton is doing (lowest weight he does)

15:25 Wetherby - Rebel Dancer 10/1 EW 4 Places

Unlucky with jumping couple of times in good races, fell at last in Class 3 handicap when just being asked the question then came 2nd in a Class 1 Listed race and was running a good race when falling 2 out in the Grade 3 totesport Trophy last season, its had few runs on the flat in summer and one recently which was poor but hopefully to give a good blow, goes off around same mark as its best runs.

Sunday looks a cracking little card, John Hales hopes Al Ferof can be his Gold Cup horse of the future and Noble Prince runs in Ireland after little more than a racecourse gallop the other week.

Quel Esprit looks like the one to start my day. Hopefully Mullins has sorted his jumping out over the summer. Surely, if he he stays upright, he will win. Was going well Cheltenham and Leopardstown before tipping up, then was brought down at Punchestown. Paul Townend back on, and he has won on him 3 times before, including his chase debut.

Doubled with Unaccompanied. She ran well at Cheltenham in March, going down to the potentially top class Zarkander by a narrow margin. Ground may of been too fast when she flopped at Punchestown or may simply just of been over the top by this point.

Pays marginally over 2/1.
