Not apart from every SM v Raw game since Here Comes the Pain.
Seriously for some reason I just haven't found the recent ones too enjoyable compared to that one (which I rank as the best of the series without a doubt). The new controls are just awkward/wierd!
On the other hand I loved the Acclaim WWF Warzone/Attitude games and still play them now, the controls were more challenging and needed a bit of thought/timing to get them right.
As far as others go, the WCW games were up-and-down through THQ then EA but had their moments (e.g. was cool being able to change wrestler faction allegience on the '98 ones!
). Backstage Assault however was fookin stupid!
(for those who didn't play it, it was a wrestling game without a wrestling ring!
).
The ECW games were okay, but basically their version of Attitude because they were also made by Acclaim (IIRC the commentators even said the same phrases as the ones on the WWF Attitude game).
Got a great game for PS2 called Fire Pro Wrestling Returns. It's a long-running Japanese series (ended now though I think unfortunately
), bought it from the US about 18 months ago. It's like an old arcade game from the 80's e.g. very, very basic graphics, but emphasis on gameplay. Some great footage of it on that popular video clip website.
