Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

(Fat) Ronaldo and Robinho on drugs?

According to Pele...

"It is unfair to talk about drugs in football because of just one or two cases, like Ronaldo and Robinho, who have that problem."

Strange how the Fulham player, having been whistled against, decided to launch the ball into the area, but Dowd didn`t feel the need to produce the yellow-Ronaldo complains and Dowd goes into overdrive, summoning Ronaldo to him in true West-End showbiz drama!

Pantsil got away with numerous offences after he`d been booked etc.Just watch Dowd`s demeanour when dealing with the big teams big names.

It was the manner in which Rooney threw the ball, not that he threw it. Behaved like a spoilt brat, again.

Two bookable offenses, one for the obvious pull back and anothe rfor dissent, Rooney can have no complaints and should look at his own attitude before anyone looks at the ref. He's got away with plenty this season, especially dissent, so when he does get booked, he can hardly complain.

The moral of the story is, don't act like a big, yelling baby.

Agreed.Still doesn`t explain why,I think it was Dempsey, didn`t receive the yellow for kicking the ball away and Pantsil, when already on a yellow, got numerous benefit of the doubt decisions go his way.Rooney, two decisions, two yellows-no benefit of the doubt for him.

No excuses,United deserved to lose-what annoys me is the perceived idea of United getting all the decisions all the time, when,in reality,if anyone looked at it in a pure, cold, unbiased nature, perhaps a truer picture may be allowed to emerge.

I`m pretty sure the other "top teams"get just as many,if not more, decisions go their way.

Liverpool blew it open, very small time having Murphy as you avatar Luke...expected more from you.

I don't know what's going on, his team selection again was baffling yesterday and why does Scholes do these things? Liverpool have all the momentum going into the most important part of the season, seems the real mardid games gave Liverpool their mojo back and Gerrard and Torres are finding form at the right time...as Sir Alex once said "Squeky bum time"
