The club are considering an appeal, with the punishment suspended and Suárez free to play until the process is completed, and the wording of their statement makes it clear they will not contemplate taking their own disciplinary action against a player who is understood to have admitted calling his opponent a "negro".

8 matches is fair enough as long as they do the same to other players that abuse others wether it be racism, fatism gingerism etc.....

All this over one spat in October and nothing mentioned of some loon trying to hit Crouch with a bottle at Molineux.
Will the FA close Molineux ( No is the answer) If Terry is found guilty then will he be hit with an 8 game ban??(no is the answer).

i wonder if an LFC player might get racially abused at old toilet the next time the 2 teams meet!!!!!!!!
maybe rooney or even evra or both racially abusing one of ours. 2 of your players banned and fined on the words of our players.

apparantly balotelli tweeted last night that as no video evidence is required that the whole man ure team racially abused him LOL.

Funny how it was only last week we were discussing how Scousers react when accused of something.

If you say the place is crap. They don't articulately point out the reasons that it's not, they counteract with "well it's not as crap as Manchester" as if that somehow is the definitive answer.

If you say the girls dress like tarts, they don't point out the beautiful looking ones, they say, "well they're not as bad as the ones in Manchester", even though they clearly are and much more.

If you say they have no sense of humour, rather than prove they have and give banter back they shout at you in grumpy fashion and say "we're funnier than you, you ####", as if that somehow proves their point.

So what happens when Suarez is accused of racism. Classics like the following get trotted out left, right and centre wherever I look.

1) "Well he's not as bad as John Terry"
2) "He didn't realise he was using an offensive term"
3) "It was racist but have you never said anything racist, and I bet you don't think your racist".

Nothing ever in the history of mankind is their fault. Any old excuse will be trotted out, no matter how lame. And they wonder why everyone hates them.

Suarez ADMITTED using a word, after initially denying it, that could be taken as racist, why and where does video come into it given he's admitted it?

The first time I look at this thread in months and it's nice to see things have not changed. If a player from any other club had been found guilty they'd have been rightly condemned. A Liverpool player does it against United and he's apparently innocent and the commission are a joke for coming the conclusion they have done. The illiterate rant above being a perfect case in point.

It should be that some things are far more important football rivalry... Obviously that's not the case in this situation. Shame.
