Re: Even More Football Chat : Sat Feb 27, 2010 8:17 pm
Let a bit of time pass. Here's my 8itching about today's game.

Micah Richards - No yellow card after that first half? The referee really needs to explain how that happened.

Tevez - He's allowed to barge into players, thrust his arms around and generally bounce into players all the time, but the moment a player gives him a bit back he's straight to the deck and getting an automatic free kick.

Belletti sending off. No one on the CFC site has mentioned this, but for me Barry fouls Belletti out on the wing initially. Belletti was attempting to control the ball and Barry just jumped into his back.

I haven't watched the penalty incident closely, but Barry's only intention when he went into the box was to go down for a pen. Have read on the CFC site that Belletti didn't touch him, not so sure about that myself as you only need to clip someone to send them over.

Ballack's first booking. Utterly blatant corner that the ref and lino decide to give a goal kick for. No complaints about his second, and he should have been booked earlier when he attempted to handle a cross into the box. He's a waste of space and needs showing the door at the end of the season.

In order of blame for the first goal - Hilario - Carvalho/Terry - Joe Cole - Mikel - Lampard. All of them need a smack for that utter cack.

The blame for the second - Hilario - Hilario - Hilario - Ancelotti. If we're playing against Bellamy's pace, we shouldn't be left with Mikel against him like we did. Mikel did his job, he pushed Bellamy wide. Hilario shouldn't have been done like he was.

First half Citeh were dire. We made 5 or 6 decent chances. We finally work a goal on 40 minutes. Then we work another chance, which Lampard and Cole conspire to make a mess of, Citeh then go up the other end and are given an equaliser.

It really sucks. I want to be happy that finally the scousers are going to fail to qualify for the CL, but with the finances at Citeh I think it'd be better if the scousers did get 4th place.

Why did Chelsea fans spend most of the game singing england songs?

At a guess, taunting Bridge about not playing for England again. Rightfully so too, should be running blood to water to get Capello's nod.

It will prove a wise decision. He'll have a nice summer off whilst the others go and further fatigue themselves, all for the sake of embarrassment in the quarters.

Terrible injury for young Ramsay but why does Arsole Whinger always have to make stupid statements like he did about there being some kind of vendetta against his players just because they happen to have had a few bad injurys before? :?

IMO it was a clumsy challenge but there was nothing intentional about it whatsoever, Shawcross was devastated ffs !

Shawcross was a bit unlucky to recieve a red card for that, was a 50/50 ball and think he only got sent off due to the seriousness of the injury. From this pic (DON'T CLICK IF SQUEAMISH!) it appears the ankle has given way BEFORE Shawcross makes contact, although it could be after the tackle, I'm not 100% sure.

Leeds Rhinos? 8 for you, Leeds Rhinos! You go, Leeds Rhinos.

And none for Castleford Tigers. Bye!

According to someone on Five Live, Sky erased it from everyone's Sky Plus! I had no idea they had the power to do that. Apparantly, you could rewind to just after the accident, but not see it.

Felt for Shawcross, no malice whatsoever in that challenge. Terrible blow for Ramsay though, hope he recovers.

If Man City get Champions league football next season and I think they will, have a bet with Your local bookie that they break the world record transfer fee in the summer. At the moment Liverpool look like they may not even get european football next year.

That pic looks to be just after contact because of the position of the ball I would say!

Same as his dozy manager I know emotions were running high but Arsole Whinger is a complete wanchor with some of the comments he comes out with
