Can't help but notice that you left out the rather important piece of information that states:

"It is thought United assistant manager Mike Phelan was the man who claimed Bethell used racist language towards Evra. The suggestion of a racist element to the incident had severely strained relations between the two clubs ahead of last season’s Champions League final."

Why could the CPS not wat to until after Xmas Chelsea V Fulham can be interesting at the best of times. Although the 2 reds of the north west will not think derbies exist outside the m62.

Did you not read on to the next paragraph, where it says:

"It is thought United assistant manager Mike Phelan was the man who claimed Bethell used racist language towards Evra."

So It wasn't even Evra who made the claims of racism. Still waiting......
