Lukaku on his way to Everton. Cracking signing, as is Ozil to booty. He certainly livens up that hunt for Champs League spots. Fellaini and the Athletico too. Very competitive season. Chelsea must have a big name lined up if they were willing to let Ba and Mata go.

John Cross from the Mirror reckons Ozil is a top 10 player in the world. He's class, but I wouldn't say he's that good. I'd rather di Maria personally but ah well. Think Arsenal need quality all over the pitch, Ozil's nice but they could do with more. Surprised they didn't go for Sakho.

Not sure Arsenal need Ozil, but there we are. I'm not convinced that Fellaini will be a good signing, i may have to eat humble pie, but i just don't think he's THAT good. I'd have been happier with Lukaku! As it is, Lukaku is a good signing for Everton, they clearly need a goalscorer, as Jelevic's early Everton form turned out to be something of a false dawn.

It means nothing for arsenal. Ozil is a fantastic player, but he does nothing to address the same old weaknesses they've had for years, which will manifest themselves over the course of the season, leaving them no higher than 4th and trophyless yet again.

They've also overpaid for ozil. He's 30 million, not 42.

It's impossible to split the top players into a top 10 with any degree of accuracy. He's definitely in that top echelon, just below Messi and Ronaldo. £42m is nothing in today's crazy world, he's definitely at least half as good as Gareth Bale.

Those criticising Fellaini need to stop underestimating him. He's a fantastic player and offers United great value. He's a physical presence in midfield, whether they use him deep to chop up the opposition's attacks or push him further up to hold up the ball. As a defensive midfielder we've seen him dominate, and I mean dominate, City's midfield of Silva and Yaya. Pushed further up he's better than most strikers in the world at receiving balls, holding them up and bringing other players through. He could score plenty at United.

Ozil and Fellaini kind of seem the wrong way round to me. Man Utd are more in need of a creative playmaker, Arsenal lack a physical presence in midfield.

It will be interesting to see how Moyes uses Fellaini. If he plays him in a forward role can he also play Van Persie and Rooney? Seems one too many. Or will he play Fellaini in a deeper role?

Dunno whether Fellaini will be a hit or a miss at United, but I do know United look like complete t1ts with they way they conducted business. Paying 27.5m when Fellaini had a 23.5 buy out clause over a month ago??? It's still not confirmed whether Coentrao has signed or not. How clueless are United going to look if the deal wasn't done?

I'm happy with Lukaku going out on loan, many aren't. I just don't think Stamford Bridge is the place for a 20 year old raw striker to learn his trade. I think two goal-less games a month apart at Chelsea the same people who are stamping their feet at his loan would be declaring him unfit for CFC. Lukaku is best kept away from this nonsense. Happy with him going to Everton too. Bigger club than West Brom and the chance to work with a different manager. Two season long loans are better than one two season loan IMO. More varied experience and better chance to learn.

Disappointed that Arsenal have got Ozil. He's a big signing that does make a statement. Hopefully he'll flop and the statement will be that Wenger really doesn't know what he's doing. What would Arsenal have done if Tottenham instead had taken Ozil + 45m in exchange for Bale?
