Nobody wanted him to stay. The chant is more to do with the fact he was happy to take his wages each week without putting the effort in of someone who was, for a decent period of time, the captain and the highest paid player in the club's history.

Utd should have won, still not confident about the PL. We need to beat Everton next as it's Arsenal, Shalke and Chelsea after that.

Very true. Blows a hole in Sky and the media's widely held belief that this is "the best PL season ever" and that the PL is the best league in the world.
For this Nited team/squad to be 4/6/7 points clear with 5 games to play is ridiculous. Makes you wonder how easily the 99 Nited team or the "Invincible" Arsenal team or the first Chelsea title-winning team would have won it. Being champions in a bad season all-round is better than not being champions at all mind you!

La Lliga isn't much better. Some would argue it's more competitive in Scotland, so which is the best league in Europe?
My vote would go to Germany.

Every year with about 10 games to go, the media trot out that a relegated side will go down with 40 points, as if that makes the league better.

They usually go with about 35.
