If we would have lost we would have complained, either that or we could have gone for the Chelsea option and made something up about the ref because we lost.

I don't know whether we made it up. I do know however that when questioned over the Suarez allegation, Evra said that he's never been subject to racial abuse in English before. I guess he forgot that he'd used the racially abused defence when he went and tried to beat up the groundsman after we beat you. But as the judge had already proved Phelen to be a complete liar, it just wasn't regarded as news.

Are there any Two-Faced Club-Abandoning Plastic AFC Kingston "fans" on here for me to point and laugh at? Bit of a long shot I know, but I'm a bit bored by the lack of Saints-related activity in the off-season and could do with a gloat...

It will be interesting to see who Wenger will try and bring in once the transfer window opens.

The guy has sadly lost his touch...he can't even seem to unearth any diamonds in France anymore he has been trumped by the likes of Newcastle on that score.

Think the Arsenal board have to approach Guardiola soon, the Brazil jobs gone...that will leave Manchester City (who i think would turn to Mourinho given half the chance) Chelsea (and why would he take that), AC Milan and maybe PSG.

Why would he go to BarcaLite, who don't have Messi, Iniesta etc, where he'll have to balance the transfer targets with sales?

If he goes somewhere to replicate what he did at Barca, which is what the fools like Abramovich want, then he's going to need £££££££££££ and €€€€€€€€€€€. He's not going to get that at Arsenal so Arsenal would be wasting their time thinking about him.

If they go out of the Champions League and continue to struggle in the league, then Rafa won't see Christmas.....It sounds crazy, but it just wouldn't shock me to see John Terry find himself in charge on a temporary basis at some point.

The whole thing is a joke, and as Ray Wilkins pointed out, Abramovich is quickly running out of options as he runs through the file that says 'Top Coaches of World Football'.

Why do you assume he wants to replicate Barca again? Didn't he cite lack of passion/motivation as one of his reasons for leaving? If he wasn't motivated by a completely dominant side that was cunting the world, maybe a different challenge is what he wants? Guardiola has apparently been keen on a job in England for a while, if he suddenly gets the passion back and Arsenal are the club he fancies, who are we to question the best coach in football?
