Given his great form this season, where would the experts on here put Chicharito in terms of being one of the leagues top strikers? I'd like an honest and fair view, not a bitter ABU one.
We will see. His greatest asset is his sharpness, he times his runs well and he finds space well. He's similar to Owen but probably isn't as quick as Owen in his pomp. I like him, he plays like a number 9 but doesn't have the overall frame to ask every question of the defence. I was saying to my bird's dad last night, it will probably be better if he doesn't develop an all-round game, purely because what he does now is what makes him good, if he begins to drop off and tries to create, it will make him far easier to defend, IMO.
If he continues to develop, sharpens up his game and gains the experience, he could well end up a similar player to David Villa. A sharp, pint-sized striker who leads the line, most sides would probably rather a strong hold-up player with strength and pace, but, like Villa, he could survive in an era where size and strength seems to be pivotal in leading the line.
I just hope he becomes the next Andy Johnson
