That, and the constant excuse that they can't win anything because other sides spend so much more money, is the biggest hurdles that Arsenal need to overcome.

The players they have can be tweaked and improved, but it will do no good to bring in an aggressive defensive midfielder if you fill his head with the nonsense that Wenger's come out with for years.

Not really. He looked like he had tonnes of potential in the World Cup and this season its not been that surprising to see him do as well as he has done.

I agree with the need for some bollox in midfield and defence, but one of Arsenal's problems for me is the lack of a "fox in the box". Van Persie isn't that type of player hence the need to almost walk the ball into the net at times. Given the way they dominate possession someone who will just stick the thing in the net and score the ugly goals is a must.

Errm no, I really didn't want to do that, I said that it shows the absurdity of the rule. The referee was absolutely correct to book him, as the rule stands he had no option & I have no problem with the booking whatsoever. It is the law itself that I find frustrating & pointless.

I see where you are coming from, it is just that Arsenal seem to share the goals around. The last time Wenger signed a fox on the box type player, he ended up with Frannie Jeffers. He probably still wakes up in cold sweats thinking about that.
