Just seen Mourinho's press conference and normally I would say what a f****g idiot for walking out like a spoilt brat, but to be honest, I kind of agree with him.
The press have been going on and on about Mata, about why he isn't being picked, if there is some kind of issue between them both, and now that he's been picked in the squad, they now decide to ask why De Bruyne is not playing and if there is some issue between him and Jose.
They don't half ask some stupid questions, but then again it's the press, they are all dumb s**ts.
They got Mourinho to admit that he's not happy with the way De Bruyne is training. Unless he was always planning to make that public, they'll treat that admission as a result.

I haven't watched that press conference but I have heard about it.
I think in Jose's first time at CFC he LOVED the confrontation with the press. He'd pretty much offer to take them all on at once and enjoyed the scrap.
I think this time it's very different. I think he enjoys some of the press, but mainly it's just an obligation and he's tired of a lot of it.
I actually think Jose was to blame for all the stories about Mata. Jose comes in and there's lot of talk about Jose not wanting him. Jose said that Mata was injured in pre-season and that's why he wasn't used. Then Jose comes out and says that Mata hasn't done enough of the work that he'd asked of him and he was dropped. So either the press just guessed correctly that Mata wouldn't be held in high esteem or Jose blabbed to someone.
But Kevin De Bruyne's not done anything yet to be worthy of questioning Jose when he's out.
But they are still currently the best pairing in the league and one of the best in Europe. Whatever problems they do have at the moment, centre back is not one of them.
Are they?....Admittedly, they have been a great partnership, but at the moment, and especially Ferdinand, they appear to be living on reputation.
If they are the best pairing in the league, I'd love to see the worst, because they must be absolutely rotten, though having seen that Newcastle pairings first half display last night, I reckon I already have.
Just read that Jose's buggering off wasn't quite the exit the press made it out to be as well. Chelsea TV just showed what happened before. Jose asked if that was it as he had to go to take training. A journo asked for one more question. He asked it. Jose answered, Jose leaves. The press then forget that about him going to training and make it a story about him storming out of the press conference.

Virtually every Man United on the forums I've seen have been staggered by Ferdinand's performances and the fact Moyes has played him so much.
West Brom's first goal was excellent, but the defending from Ferdnand was Sunday league standard.
Whether he's right or wrong, you don't admit weakness like that publicly, worse still almost aiming a thinly veiled insult at the current players.
He's been terrible in the press so far. All that moaning about the fixtures and conspiracy theories, just gave out negative vibes. It should have been ''we are united we can handle it, it's the opportunity to set down a marker''. It's like he knew he was going to eff up those fixtures.
Martinez is already starting to potentially show how the dour wrinkly scots lack of vision actually held everton back rather than overachieving with them as was commonly accepted.

Last season and several games this season they've still looked quality. Might have had the odd bad game, but who doesn't? I haven't seen enough bad games from them to suggest they're a spent force.
If you don't think they are the best pairing in the league, who would you say is? I can think of a few individual players who are better, but not a team with a better 2.

Let's be honest, we're essentially talking Vidic here because Ferdinand is a donkey. I'd say United would defend no worse with Evans next to Vidic so I don't consider them such a strong partnership. Kompany is that much better than Ferdinand and Vidic at the moment, I'd probably say that he alongside any defender at City is better than United's 'partnership'. IMO there aren't that many established great defenders at the moment, the Italians lack the illustrious names of recent decades, the French have never reached the heights Thuram set and the South Americans don't fill me with confidence, despite Brazil having probably the most expensive set of defenders in the world right now.
Germany have a decent defence but they tend not to leave the Bundesliga. Teams seem to be stronger defensively as a team now, but there aren't players playing at the moment in the calibre of a Nesta.
Ferdinand looked good last season because he didn't play every game. Now he is doing and he looks vulnerable. He's old and needs his playing time managed better than it is currently being. The problem there is that the alternatives aren't up to the gig.
