well, every dog has its day, and somersby has had his. ran like a pig at hungtindon, yet flew home today. awful horse to get right. one horse has never angered me so much in a short space of time. still in profit, but not a happy chappy.

Only bet I had was Somersby to be placed. Just cannot work that horse out at all. Still say he's screaming for 3m+.

Just backed Noble Prince at 4/6.

Has shown plenty of speed back in trip and should be able to get his head in front today before he heads to the festival. Tranquil Sea has to give weight away all round and not quite the force of old I suspect and this probably a bit short for him, Psycho and Saludos decent in their own right but can't see either of them winning bar mishaps, which leaves Blazing Tempo... Mullins in tremendous form and she will have every chance in receipt of 7lb and versatile regarding trip. She was 15l adrift of NP in last years' Jewson with the same weight differential, with nothing being dramatically in her favour to suggest she will reverse the form.

Wish I'd waited til nearer the off time, Noble Prince drifted terribly from this mornings price to weak 9/10 favourite. No idea how close he was to Blazing Tempo, had to listen on Betfair radio due to Boylesports sh*tty streaming service.

Ground maybe not ideal for Noble Prince, but still expected him to be good enough to shade it. Should run a big race on good ground in the Ryanair.
