FIW the whole yellow card for a shirt being taken off has came about after complaints from shirt sponsors IIRC. Players taking there shirts off looses sponsors air time and I guess its came from that.

Also anyone watch United last night? Just watched it on iplayer, good stuff.

I've never heard that.

If that's the case then the FA need a slap for changing the rules for a purely commercial reason.

And I'd also say that it's not the FA's place to have sorted this out anyway. It's an issue between the clubs and their sponsors. If Samsung don't want Didier Drogba to take off his shirt because they pay to have their name on photos when Drogba has scored that's between CFC and Samsung. It's nowt to do with the FA. If Samsung want to personally fine CFC each time Drogba does that, and if CFC want to make Drogba pay that fine then that's all between the three parties, it shouldn't be something the FA involve themselves in.

Temptation, greets you like your naughty mate,
The one that used to get you in bother,
But one that you could never bring yourself to hate.

The shirt off = yellow card rule is a steaming pile of shizer. The ref had no choice but to book Cohen, who I'm sure accepted the fact that he was going to be booked when he pre loaded the celebration. But the FA or FIFA or whoever needs to have a word with themselves.

All this booking for taking shirts off stuff is rubbish. Why does a player feel the urge to do it? It stinks of rapant egotism. If they want to promote a cause then why not get out there and support it in the same way that the likes of Ferdinand and others do with racism. Fowler could just have well dedicated his goal to the dockers in a post match interview. There is no need to take your shirt off when celebrating and it's a fashion craze rather than a true emotional outpouring because if it was the latter participants in other sports would have done it too.

Taking your shirt off when celebrating is generally a banal and unimaginative way of celebrating. Bring back Mick Channon's windwill!

Gutted for Phil Brown going down today, he'll bring them straight back up.

And I think I was at a different gamer to Neil Warnock today, 4 or 5 world class saves from our keeper? There was 1 good save but apart from that DQPR only had 1 chance apart from the goal, which was daft to give away from our point of view. Anyway, good to see a 19 year old score with the assist from a 17 year old!

Honestly now, I have never seen or heard of Ferdinand's work with racism. Maybe I'm ignorant or just unfortunate, but if Rio scored tomorrow night and raised his shirt to show another saying 'Kick it out' or something, I'd definitely get the message more. Maybe it is egotism, but, at the same time, it's the moment when the limelight is completely on you, and is definitely the best way to get your message/point/feelings across.

Anyone seen the Norwich last minute equaliser replay yet? Fan tries to invade the pitch to congratulate the players, somehow ends up slipping and falling back on his ar$e.
