Fascinating article in the Times today by Ross Anderson, a Rangers fan with a protestant father and catholic mother and who was raised as a catholic. He regularly used to chant anti catholic songs at Rangers matches for no other reason than that they were the best (as in cleverest words and rhymed better) songs. A large number of football fans still seem to leave their brains at home when they set off to a match.

I think we can say QPR are going to the Premiership as they'll not have a 13 goal advantage over Cardiff overturned.

The booking for taking your shirt off was instituted by FIFA, as in some countries it is considered illegal/offensive to be seen topless IIRC. Why they can't leave it to individual FAs to sort out I don't know.

God bless the Rangers fans - they can give it out but they really can't take it back can they? If you don't want the bloke to cup his hand to his ear as he leaves the field, try not giving him 90 minutes of vile personal abuse.

Which the FA won't decide on until the first week in May. It's Tevez and Sheffield United all over again.

The FA will probably fine them, or give them a points deduction small enough to mean they still get promoted as champions.

Anything else and they risk having the whole of the season end and playoffs thrown into chaos.
