Ever heard of a former Everton striker named Duncan Ferguson (1994/1998)?
Legend.

You have got to be joking?
With an over reaction like this you would be well suited working for the FA. He barely even butted him, scandalous that he went to prison for it. Complete joke. If that is a prison sentence we would have footballers in prison's all over the land. How can you claim stamping on someone's face is minor compared to a headbutt?

Unless you are of course being totally ironic and are referring to "Everton having history" in the admiration sense!
We have a history to be proud of I think you will find.
Journalists and Everton supporters give the impression that Moyes has spent very little money. Compared to our recent splurge, I agree. But how much did the likes of Yakubu and Feillani cost? More than a handful of brass buttons, I am sure.
£12m and £15m, one a season.
Compared to....ahem.....£32m for Robinho, £24m for Lescott, £25m? for Adebayor, etc. etc. etc.
And just to prove a point, £30m for Berbatov, likewise for Rooney, also likewise for Ferdinand.
£15m on one player is the highest we've ever spent, compared to the budgets of the top 4, you and Spurs, achieving 5th two years in a row is some good work...also bearing in mind what we lost last year.
Have fun with Lescott.....make sure he gets paid otherwise he'll sulk
It's started. The Scouse Bitter Blues are really showing their true colours at the moment and I'm just loving the jealousy of the knowledge that we are on the verge of something big whilst their own team seems set to remain in a time warp
As it happens, we will get our backside tanned and you'll have your loudest cheer of the season to come.
Enjoy!
Nah, our loudest cheer will be when we win the Europa League....speaking of which, how'd Citeh do last night in that, or in Europe as a whole?
If only you could qualify by something other than the Fair Play League, which is rather ironic given the Moneygrabber saga

Ours is only £20m, maybe Everton aren't as small as they think they are.

Spot on
We normally bring people in for small fee or use the funds raised from a sale like Lescott out for around £24 million and we brought in Distin £5 million, Bilyaletdinov £9 million and Heitinga £6 million.

Don't forget Arteta £2m, Cahill £2m, Jagielka £4m....it goes on
Billy paid off a sizable chunk of that fee with that first corner last night, utterly dropped perfect.....it had to to allow Yobo to score!

What a first that was for the lad, he was superb. I'd just like to see him with a bit more ball in open play to see what he can do. But couldn't argue with it, just a shame in the second half we had Ossie back on the corners, couldn't beat the first man.
Exactly, all next to nothing and the list goes on Howard, Neville and Saha will have been written off from the Rooney money too. Saw the quote in the paper from Distin today? superb, here it is:

Distin does not wish to be seen as Lescott's replacement, but then the centre-back is accomplished enough to deserve the right to assert his own standards. "We are two different players," he stresses. "I'm here to do my own stuff. I'm not here to be compared to him. They have given me his locker, though. It was empty, apart from a big pile of cash."
Fantastic. Lovin him already.
