Can't be bothered searching them but they were along the lines of Moyes calling the Everton fans an Fing disgrace after how they treated him last night. Shouldn't take too much searching on twitter.
In 10 years in charge of Everton Moyes had NEVER won away at any of the big clubs. Roberto Martinez does it in his first game, away against last seasons champions. So I'm not surprised he comes out with a pathetic little diversion to deflect attention away from just how badly he's doing.
IMO Everton fans took him leaving exceptionally well while he was still Everton manager. Don't think there was any significant backlash about him, even though he was getting permission to swan off to Manchester while still being Everton manager. But now he's an oppo manager so why shouldn't they abuse him?
Re. Suarez. I think we done well to keep him in the summer, but the big clubs clearly thought they could get him cheap with the scandal looming over him.
Chelsea and Real Madrid were the two clubs who should have been after him. Neither showed the slightest interest. I am staggered at how stupid they were not for getting involved.
Arsenal's "interest" was just pathetic. 40 million plus a quid was just moronic. And when Liverpool laughed at them and said they'd never sell him, they just said okay then.
IMO you just got lucky that no one made a serious offer. If Real Madrid were after Suarez I reckon Suarez would have set fire to the training ground and Anfield to force the move.
For me, last year and now this year he's undeniably one of the top 3 players in the league, people can point to other players having better attributes than him in certain areas, but he's capable of almost anything in the final third and his attitude means he tries it/does it regularly. If any of the big clubs come calling they're going to have to pay Torres money, maybe more as for me his current level is greater than Torres' level when he was at the club. Yes, his reputation is more 'damaged' and he isn't the 'brand' Torres is, if you will, but he's a better player.
I reckon it would have taken 50m to get him last summer. I reckon he's approaching Bale/Ronaldo money now.
On Torres, he was back to the useless Torres on Wednesday. Did you see his miss from 8 yards when I think the game was level? Just awful. This season he has been transformed but Wednesday was a reversion back to the waste of a player he's been for the majority of is CFC career.
