Thats what you dont get though... what he say's is not for the benefit of the fans. Its for his team! He doesn't care how it makes him look. As long as his players feed off his confidence then he is happy.

And yes, I was on about credit they deserve. As I keep saying, all the "beating losing teams" crap that was spouted last year was rubbish. Every team we beat had a much better record than us the year before. We didnt get credit for turning anything around though. It was all about the weak schedule... even though we were the "weakest" team on everyone elses schedule that lost to us.

And as for pre-season, I wasnt getting giddy. It was preseason. I was just giving a little write up of the games and what looked good for us.

Freeman has been off sorts so far this year too with stupid throws in the red zone taht has cost us but is still getting the job done. 3 wins and 2 4th QTR wins. When the chips are down he steps up.

Newton cant be considered yet. He's 4 games in and yes, he has put up some good numbers but he makes some awful mistakes. I like him though and he will be a very good QB. The NFC South is definately one of the top Divisions for years to come in the qb position

Brees is, well, Brees. Dont really have to say anything.

Ryan isnt as good as what everyone makes out. This year he has been poor. If the Falcons want to get the Wild Card spot he will have to step up because they are already in danger of going 2 games behind us this weekend. Saying that, they may be level with us. I cant see them beating Green Bay though.

Have to agree with Nikaed in this debate. Your not as far up your teams booty as Gronk! but your not far behind.

Freeman is a very good prospect but he's been poor at best this season. Ryan has him beat in every key stat this season. Newton looks like he could be an absolute monster. Going off this season alone using QB rating Freeman does rank 4th in your division.

Also agree on the Raheem Morris debate. He sounded like a fool when he made that soundbite about being the best team in the NFC. Do you honestly think that helped your teams morale? If anything it dumps more expectation on them which is not a good thing for a young team in my opinion. Look at my Rams bombing this season when a lot was expected of us. Incidentally Bradford is playing very well we just have no-one to catch the ball.

Think your 3-1 start isn't all it's cracked up to be. You lost to a good Detroit team before that comeback against the Vikings. As we have seen since the Vikes are not a good team, especially in the 2nd half of games! Fair play on the Atlanta win, I thought they would beat you but they do look as though they are a poor road team this season. Even my Rams could beat the Colts at the moment and that tells you all you need to know. Think your real test will be against the Saints in week 6.

I have no idea what you're on about, but on the injury front here's a fact for you on that - last weekend the Patriots were tied for the most injuries with Kansas, so all your points on Sunday were as per usual when it comes to the Patriots, wrong.

Freeman is vastly over rated at this point, but there again so are a lot of QB's Matt Ryan included.

Raheem Morris just like Rex Ryan, a show pony and they both try generating hype for their teams - the only problem is it puts a target on them.

Could be wrong but I can't really be Iestyn'd to go back through the thread but you implied that your lot had a ridiculous amount of injuries. When I said this you said you didn't. You at least need to be consistent if your gunna try and rip me for my opinions

BTW I wouldn't compare Rex Ryan and Raheem Morris. Rex talks big but delivers. Raheem hasn't as of yet.

Seahawks at home this week. Easy win on paper. Jackson and Rice have had huge success against us in the past though. Looking forward to the Jets v patriots match-up at 9.15. Hopefully the Jets will be 2-3 after that.
