Deep Purple... Grade 2 winner, grade 1 placed. His runs going right handed are. 111211p211p31. 1st pulled up was his 4th run in 8 weeks and trip too short, his 2nd was in the King George. His form when running after a 5 week break is. 11110421143U341. His duckegg was in a grade 1, his 4th, he made a few mistakes, his 2nd 4th was another grade 1 at Cheltenham, unseated when hampered by a loose horse, and his last 4th came in another grade 1. quite simply, he's grade 2 at best, going r-h on fast ground.
Duke of Lucca... Outside of his seasonal debut, racing with a break of 5 weeks +...1120. 2nd to Peddlars Cross, and the duckegg came over the wrong trip and ground. Has failed more times than not over big galloping courses, ie..Cheltenham, Newbury and Chepstow. Going R-H he's 1121 upto 21f and in single figure fields, he's 112441, with the 2 4ths being over wrong course and distance.
Lay of the day is Crystal Bonus...5/4-11/8. Won lto on a large l-h track on heavy ground, today goes over a tight r-h track on fast ground.
