Menorah's jumping of fences has been hideous so far, think they need Harry Potter and not Yogi Breisner.
The horse hasn't ran a decent race since the 2010 International Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Think Hobbs has lost the plot a bit personally, hasn't had a clue with what to do with Wishful Thinking or Captain Chris all year.
With being the Arkle winner last year, I'd have aimed CC at the Champion Chase - a race that lacks strength in depth, he is guaranteed to be ok over the trip and won a very important trial race 12 months ago. But Hobbs, bafflingly, seems to want to run him over 26.5f in the Gold Cup. Another race without great strength in depth, but it is another 2.5f and a stiff hill finish compared to him running in the King George at Xmas.
Wishful Thinking is the tough one to place. Don't think he'll have the toe or the gears for the Champion Chase; the Ryanair looks much better than recent years with Riverside Theatre and Rubi Light having won their prep races; Nolan will have Noble Prince A1 after a poor effort last time out; and guaranteed Albertas Run will put up another bold bid given ideal conditions.
Wishful Thinking has won races over 2m5f, but never been tried any further. Hard to know how he'd do over 3m-3m 2.5f unless they tried it.
