mccoy said he needed his wind done after supreme last year so they are confident the hill won't be a problem this year. he has looked great so far, but this is a different kettle of fish to his previous races. they went a dawdle in the game spirit and, while he was bloody impressive, could be argued he didnt beat the anything of real quality.

cue card looks set to set a strong gallop. could see sprinter sacre hacking all over him and just need to be shaken up to win, or he will find zilch off the bridle and a strong stayer like al ferof will grind it out.

2/1 is a good price mind.

Cheltenham finished, onto Aintree! Hope you all had a good week, ended just about up in the end but a good week. Just took Killyglen at 33's for the National, was travelling well when falling at 4th last, been dropped 6lbs for this years and is 15 better off with Ballabriggs. Hopeful for place chance, and possibly staying on to contend the win - runs in 10 minutes so maybe an opportunity to trade if it goes well.

Dean Childs looks value at 8/1 to win the Trainers Championship tonight at Perry Barr (live on Sky).

Charlie Lister is worthy favourite but 1/2 is far too short and the scoring system is made for an upset as if the likes of Taylors Sky and Boher Paddy do not pick up their expected 10 points for winning their race odds on money buyers could be in trouble.

For Childs to win Droopys Loner and Ballymac William will need to win and probably another greyhound of his will have to take a race but he looks well capable of picking up first 3 finishes through the card (6 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd) and if the Lister camp is slightly off the mark he may well be the one to take advantage.
