I can't believe the Scottish take their League seriously so I am shocked that there are English that do.

Why is it,that those who have a Scottisn favourite, follow unsuccessful clubs in this country. Is that the only waqy they can be victorious.

Honest question,just curious.

I've liked Rangers since I went to watch them in 1999 at Tranmere against Shelbourne, just took a shine to them, and Celtic remind me too much of Liverpool.

Are you trying to convince yourself that you believe that or do you genuinely think that's the case? I've stopped going for the whole "he'll never go to x club" after "lifelong Hibees" Miller, Riordan, Thomson etc all left (I forgive O'Connor because it was a great opportunity for him)

Aye, cause I don't get to see much Scottish Football hey

Celtic and Rangers wouldn't get out of the Championship with the squads they have now, they couldn't cope with the intensity of a hard game every week.

Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen would be lucky to avoid relegation to Div1.

At least we went out as Cup holders. the last time you did was in 1903 so i wouldn't start laughing yet.

At the moment, if anyone thinks any team apart from Celtic could make it in the English Premiership then they're just kidding themselves. SPL football is no where near EPL level. Fair enough with the TV money as mentioned their might be a better chances for Rangers and Celtic to cope with their following but the other just couldn't cut it.

I have seen some absolutly terrible football play by Hearts this season and they are still only 5 points off Rangers in 2nd which, while i don't watch every TV clearly shows the ability of the other teams if they're as good as Hearts.
Aberdeen seem to live of their 2 UEFA cup wins (i think that's what they won) and are nothing and get crowds of about 9,000. Hibs have done love all in 105 years and have none of this 'flair' there always on about and are signing conference players, which btw will walk into the team even from such a lowly level. Hearts have the fans base but it's now just complete bollox what team they play, the only two decent lads have gone to Celtic (Craig Gordon just isn't allowed to play anymore apparently). Even last year we weren't awesome to come second, we were just better than the other pish in the league
The other teams apart from the top 5 would be given a run by any league 2 side without a doubt and they all have attendances to match.

In fairness, as Leyther Matt says, the league is 'exciting' in the fact that 4/5 team are challenging for second and any team could beat another on their day, but in terms of footballing quality the SPL really is dire at times.

As this is a theoretical idea then we have to assume when in the Premiership Celtic and Rangers would have access to the funds to bring in better quality players and therefore be able to challenge.

As for saying Celtic haven't been tested in Europe yet, does 2 great games against Man Utd and a thrashing by FC Copenhagen not count?

Spot the bitter Jambo  I take it you didn't see Benji, Sproule and Brown ripping Aberdeen to shreds in the cup? You might want to read up on your history as well. I've got a 6-2 DVD that you might like to borrow if you still aren't convinced!

I suppose it's all hypothetical of course, but Celtic and Rangers would comfortably survive in the Premiership with their already sizeable income multiplied several times over with the TV money. Let's not forget that Hearts and Hibs both have crowds similar to the likes of Portsmouth, Watford and Wigan et al and they all play at the top level, while Aberdeen have huge potential considering the lack of neighbouring sides.

And i've got the DVD's of us beating you 4-0,4-1 and 4-0 in the cup semi all from the same year but us getting into a frenzie about the derby results is completley irrelevent to what am trying to point out. The quality of football is not good in the SPL and the teams wouldn't compete with the EPL teams. Am not saying Hibs etc didn't and can't rip the shreads out of Aberdeen/Rangers, it's just that it doesn't make the football standard any better.

One year doesn't change the historical tide against you

I'm not saying that St. Mirren are going to get top four in the Premiership or anything like that, but after seeing the likes of Charlton, Wigan and Watford in recent weeks, I'd reckon any of the SPL top 5 would have a fair shout at at least putting up a decent relegation fight in the EPL.

Probably am, due to the fact I am sick of us losing our best talent (pretty much all being captains at the time, hm) to the OF. Not only that but losing the Youth scout to Celtic who did alot for us is a bit blow aswell and makes me dislike the OF even more (if that is possible). Last I heard he was really happy at Hibs and they were being good to him I just hope the chance of extra cash wouldn't be enough to lure him to either of them just be sat on the bench getting splinters in his arse. It would be nice for Hibs to be in a financial situation in the not so distant future where they can offer better wages than they are now.

And as for Thomson, makes me sick he does.

Shouldn't you be spouting the usual "It's a diddy cup anyway, Hibs are just a wee team etc etc" like some other Jambo's are?

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Disagree with that. Rangers and Celtic would be too good for the Championship, Celtic definitely.
