We need a striker to replace Tevez anyway so if Benzema comes in that is seperate to the Ronaldo money. We could sign Valencia but that would not make up for Ronaldo. Ribery would be the man to sign but it seems Bayern don't want to let him go and he does not want to come to England.

Utd will need a minimum of 3 players, one for Tevez, one for Ronaldo and then another one.

Eto'o and Villa are both available to replace Tevez (should he leave).

Ribery has had a 65mill price tag slapped on his head by Bayern.

Benzema is a good buy though, he will get better.

Have the feeling SAF wont buy Ribery for that obscene amount of money.

I'd expect Benzema to be the number one target now with Villa wanting to stay in Spain aka Madrid.
Maybe Tevez will stay now, but i would expect him to leave even now.

Thanks for 6 wonderful years Ronnie. He is arguably the most skillful player ever to play his football in England and will be sorely missed. Only the most bitter of football fans wont feel that the premiership has lost one of its best

He plays very well in the hole behind the front man, and I would put him up there with the worlds best in that role, but that's also Rooney's best position IMO, and Rooney is classed as a forward, Gerrard a midfielder.

Will United players never learn that moving to the Bernabeu does nothing for their football?

£80million is a great sum of money, but it's a transfer fee that is required for a player / shirt seller of his value.

Benzema and Ribery in please.

At least this move will allow Rooney to grab the spotlight with both hands and lead the strike force.

Will we have improved though? Those two in and Ronaldo and Tevz out? I don't see any improvement or any squad strengthening. Tbh I don't think Ribery will come anyway.

Ribery i think may move to Barca if he moves at all.
