Yeah, Beaton is. Wouldn't have thought it'll be too long for Scott makes the switch either. Didn't do so this year due to personal circumstances, but from what I hear this will be his last Lakeside.

3 classic matches today

Steve Beaton wins last 5 legs to beat Phil Taylor 16-14. Beaton averaged 55% on Doubles despite missing 5 attempts to close it out in the last leg.

Was an awesome match and easily the best I've seen live.
At 14-11 down I don't think anyone foresaw Beaton winning 5 legs in a row.
Atmosphere in the Civic Hall was bouncing but didn't seem to be as bad as Taylor was implying that the players weren't being given good order. Yes it was loud but I didn't hear any booing or shouting out whilst either player were throwing.
Had great seats on the balconty literally right next to where Smith, Mason & Warriner-Little do the pre & post-match stuff. Think AWL had a bet on Beaton as he was delighted at the end of that match!
Early in the match the power to the big screen at the back went off meaning those on the balcony at the back literally couldn't see anything which is why they were chanting "We want our telly back," and "Where's our telly gone?" Stewards didn't seem too sympathetic about people being a little upset at paying £30 to see naff all!
Good on Waites winning overall but would've been nice to see a Stompe crane celebration.

I have to take my glasses off when I play darts. I'm better without them and it's not a psychological thing. If you wear glasses and you are constantly changing your line of vision, the rim of the glasses comes into play, you see things clearly through the centre but not to the side etc. You wouldn't think it would be a problem with darts because the target is a small area but it can be annoying, or at least a minor distraction.

Playing pool with your glasses on is a bloody nightmare!

Fair enough, makes no difference to me for my throw, just how easily I can tell what I've hit.

Agree about pool/snooker though.

Taylor did have a bit of a rant about the TV going off in his post match interview.

With 4 wild cards in the Premier League I think he's in line for one if he hops over the divide.

Got a feeling King has thrown his toys out of the pram once too often and he will be the biggest name not in the Premier League next year.

Yep your right, which order it gets decided in could be very interesting but i think it will end up as Taylor, Wade, Barney, Whitlock, both would want Anderson and Lewis in, Sky would go for Jenkins leaving probably one slot up for grabs and who wins both the World Championships could well decide that place but unless a King, Beaton, Newton, Baxter etc wins the PDC version I have a feeling it will be used to entice someone over from the BDO (though of course a King or Lewis win would propel him into the top 4 in all likelihood so a wildcard would need to go to Whitlock or Barney depending on their performance in the tournament and may close any potential BDO carrot).
