Oscar's Well was bloody awful, even conceding weight should've ran far better than that - disappointing to say the least. Very overrated horse, always thought he could win a race at g2 at open company, obviously not. No wonder chasing in the autumn is the plan.

Lost a little bit on Steps To Freedom - was just a small, gut bet, nothing fancy. So decided to have a couple of quid on Balnaslow in the bumper - hype horse was favourite Teelin Star but didn't fancy it odds on in a flat race based on points form, looked like it needed a obstacle to jump too as he got a bit lazy at the end. Balnaslow was going much the best coming round the bend, but a Gigginstown horse came out of nowhere and they got into a right battle, with the Gigginstown horse prevailing by around a short head - thought great, typical luck. Stewards enquiry went on for ages and eventually the places reversed, bit of luck for once
