I get the impression now liverpool are starting to smell the title. They can feel it.
If today's result stays the same as is current, then they are in control of the situation. Win the rest of their games, and they will be champions, regardless of what happens in city's extra games.
And if City win all of their games they'll win the title instead.
The truth is it's utterly retarded to count on a side winning six games in a row, especially when two of those games are against two of the other title challengers.
It's pretty much certain that all the top three will drop some points between now and the end of the season. The winner will be the one that drops the least.
Yes, thanks for that. The reason I pointed that out, was because before this weekend, liverpool winning the rest of their games wouldn't have given them the title, whereas it still would for City. Nothing has changed this weekend for city, win the rest of their games...they win, but it has for liverpool with city drawing. Of course no one expects either team to win all remaining games.
With liverpool suddenly having more control on the situation, it may give them added impetus. Momentum is a huge thing at this time of the season, like in 2012 when united losing at wigan suddenly gave city that added boost.
But yes, the winner will be the one that drops the least, great insight. A pearl of wisdom.
