Not even a free kick in the 'real men' side of things, the way football SHOULD be. There was clearly no malicious intent or dangerous contact in the challenge.
But by god Kompany is a fool. As soon as it happened my City supporting next door neighbour jumped up shouting, "Not even a foul". But I said straight away, "Bloody stupid technique though, he could go here".
He's been sent off there because of the way he challenged. Head on challenge, both feet involved, both feet off the floor, over the top of the ball, scissors motion. He could have made that challenge with one foot and not made it look so dramatic by leaving the floor.
