Why isn't Redknapp above Kiddink then? Surely the 1-0 win over Chelsea makes him a better manager? Worst way of ranking managers ever.
Yeah, ranking managers on how they perform in 2 leg CL quarter finals, what a daft way to rank them.
The reason that Redknapp isn't above Hiddink is that that was a one-off game, an aberation. Hiddink has won 11, drawn 1 and lost 1 league game. You don't judge on that one defeat when the other results were so different.
We're 2nd in the PL. We've taken 12 from 12 against our nearest rivals. We've lost twice all season. I don't need to say anymore than that to justify Benitez being a better manager than Hiddink. You rate Hiddink better on two games. Utterly embarrassing.
You are 3 points ahead of Chelsea, Chelsea are in the final of the FA Cup, Chelsea knocked you out of the CL. I rate Hiddink as performing better than Benitez because Hiddink has performed significantly better than Benitez since he was brought in by Chelsea.
If you want me to tell you my top 5 with no bias (which you will accuse me of anyway)
1. Ferguson - No question. Rotates his squad magnificently, odds on to complete the big double again. Spit.
2. - Pulis - Odds on to be relegated and has galvanised his squad into comfortably staying up.
3. Moyes - Terrible start, terrible injuries, great use of his limited squad and has his players fighting for everything.
4. Benitez - We're 2nd in the PL. We've taken 12 from 12 against our nearest rivals. We've lost twice all season. He's finally settled on our ebst formation. He's using players to the best of their abilities and has seen sense in allowing Gerrard the run of things.
5. Hodgson - Not spent a huge amount but same reasons as Moyes really, gets his players playing the right way to grind results out and they deserve a shot at Europe.

You think Benitez's 2nd place finish is better than an FA Cup final, a CL final reaching performance (only stolen by a truly dreadful reffing performance) and a won 11, drawn 1, lost 1 league record. I don't. Second place alone is a poor record, especially when one of the main reasons for that finish is Scolari.
