Thursday's football betting wasn't so successful, had Napoli and then fooked my stake up and put all the winnings on an acca on the later matches. Doh.
Had a few on yday, messing about with overs n unders, handicaps etc which yielded nothing.
Having more of a go today than yesterday.
Newcastle (4/5) looks a cracking bet. Excuse my bias with this one, but I genuinely believe it is excellent value. We looked much improved in the second half at Everton on Monday and hopefully AP will adopt a similar lineup and mentality today. Plenty of men were rested when we played out for the draw at Maritimo on Thursday so I'd be hopeful against a Norwich team that seems a bit at sea on and off the pitch.
Man Utd draw no bet (10/11) is also a cracking bet IMO. Liverpool have looked woeful at times this season, especially at the back, and United have players that can punish that in an instant. I can't see Liverpool winning, but, if Rogers can get them motivated there is the chance they could get a draw so am happy to be covered one way or another for 2 of the 3 potential outcomes. It could be considered a 'must win' game for both managers. Lose today, and Utd are 4 pts behind Chelsea on level games. Chelsea were a bit fortunate yesterday, but in Hazard (particularly) and Oscar they look to have two tremendous players who will only get better and a good start was even more important to them as they do not want to have to be too reliant on the youngsters all year with the risk of burn out. Liverpool however will see this as a bigger game with more pressure. Poor start and against a bitter rival, this result could either kick start their season like a shot of testosterone or reduce morale even more. Failure to get 3 points today and they will be in the bottom three, level games with the teams around them.
Two accas on:
Spurs - Man Utd - Newcastle - Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid - Bordeaux - Olympiakos - Nacional - Galatasaray - Club Brugge - Rubin Kazan @ 142/1
Newcastle - Spurs - Atletico Madrid - Real Madrid - Bordeaux - Olympiakos - Galatasaray @ 10/1
Also fancy the Arsenal - City game to be a draw, but could go either way. Depends how City pick themselves up from midweek.
