| Mathmatically, city aren't out of it.
But in reality, we know that they [iare[/i. Losing against your direct title rivals and then drawing at home to relegation fodder, in the vital stages of a title run in.........it just ain't happening. They would need both liverpool and chelsea to slip up now, and a liverpool chelsea stalemate won't be enough either.
Liverpool and chelsea both have it in their own hands, with liverpool being able to afford a draw in the chelsea clash. Chelsea win their 4 remaining games, they take the title.
Winner will definitly be one of those 2 now.
The way the actual fixtures have fallen could play a part. Liverpool have home advantage in the final game, at home to a rudderless newcastle team with nothing to play for. Chelsea will be away from home at cardiff, who will most likely be playing for a premier league survival. Even if chelsea beat liverpool, they could slip up there in a dogfight of a game with liverpool cruising against newcastle.
Looks like liverpool for me now.

| Norwich usually collapse against Liverpool. Suarez has three hat tricks against them already and he's probably only played against them 6 times.
Liverpool play Sunday at noon. Chelsea play Sunderland at 5pm Saturday. Sunderland played on Wednesday while Chelsea have had a free week. While Chelsea and Liverpool should be taking three points I think that the timings of the matches heavily favour Chelsea. If Chelsea win against Sunderland they will take over at the top of the table for the day and noon kick offs often result in lacklustre performances. Norwich are fighting for their lives, Sunderland pretty much know they're down already.
From a CFC viewpoint I think the biggest problem we face is playing away at Anfield in the middle of the two CL semi final games. While I think this weekend the timings favour CFC, the CL semi is a gift from heaven for the scousers.
The scousers still have to go to Palace. Pulis could push his team to beating another title candidate to strengthen his push for Manager of the Year. Palace is a tough place and they are virtually safe already so will be able to play without any pressure.
The geordies might be sacking Pardew and nobody in their team might care about the game. But Pardew could be trying to do Mourinho a favour as Jose was one of very few voices who actually came out in support of him over the nutting fiasco.
I think Citeh are probably out of it, but being written off could mean that they are able to play without fear and win the rest of their games. I think they are massive bottle jobs but the situation facing them now is actually better than the one facing City when they nicked it off United.
I still think there are plenty of twists left. No one expected City to drop points against Sunderland yet they did. That has made the picture look very different, but the picture changes massively if either Chelsea or Liverpool don't take all three points at the weekend.

| If Liverpool lose to Norwich and draw with Chelsea then City are back in it (assuming we don't screw up against WBA). I think Liverpool will win both games but a loss and a draw are plausible results.
During the 11/12 run in City were hugely boosted by United dropping points before each of City's tricky away games. If City were to kick off at Palace minutes after a favourable result at Anfield then I would expect us to beat Palace and go into the Everton game in the same frame of mind as when we won at Newcastle in 11/12.
If either Liverpool or Chelsea win their next two games then City will drop more points at Palace and/or Everton.

The goal chalked off because the Sunderland defender fell to the floor rather than challenging for the header.
Ramires goes up to head the ball. Sunderland player barges into him without even attempting to bother with heading the ball. Goal kick to Sunderland.
Azpilacueta slides to cover the cross, the Sunderland player moves his left leg about a foot to the left to make contact with Azpi and crumples to the floor. Ref gives pen.
Mourinho was right about the refs and Riley. They are shocking. But they are shockingly pro Liverpool, like they were shockingly pro-Man Utd, so that's okay.
But Mourinho was wrong about the Chelsea players leaving everything on the pitch. We just weren't good enough.

| Yes, Ramires should have got a red card.
But the Sunderland player did go in late, did throw himself to the ground at the slightest contact and did go running to the ref straight after pleading over it.
Ramires should be banned for that stupid act. He probably will. But then so should Yaya Toure for kicking the Norwich player but he wasn't.

Pop the cork, it's happening.
Chelsea were a farce today from the start to the end. Absolutely woeful.
I called it on here last week, but not only will City and Chelsea not win enough games to win the league, they won't win enough to even put pressure on Liverpool.

| I feel sick. I've booked the last weekend of the season and the week that follows it off work, so I could avoid the stick when they win it, but it looks like I chose the wrong week.

A great manager, but as a man, a total embarrassment..... I think if he continues in this vain of being the drama queen then the media, which has always ar$e-licked the guy, will eventually turn on him and force him out of the English game.
He is basically an egotist, who loves his ego being massaged by those in the media - Its why he left the biggest job in world football to end up back in the comfy nest of Stamford Bridge and the loveathon of the English media.... Take that part of it away from Jose and he will be gone in a shot.

| What a bizarre game at Goodison today. United with nearly 70% possession and ridiculous territorial advantage, but they created absolutely nothing untill the Rooney chance with a couple of minutes left. I was sat watching with complete comfort, knowing they were never going to score.
Moyes has got one hell of a job on. It's going to take some time to turn that ship around.

Come on, let's be serious. Liverpool winning the league is clearly the greater achievement. By some distance IMO.

| Chelsea only have themselves to blame. It was in their hands, win the rest of your games, you are champions. But they've blown it. That defeat will cost them title, they'll probably be less than 3 points between them and liverpool by the time the last game has finished.
Against sunderland they were lacklustre. They went 1-0 and drifted along. Loss of concentration, sunderland are level. For the next 60 mins, they continued to drift along, creating few chances, no cutting edge.
I really don't think chelsea can be grumbling about decisions, their performance wasn't worthy of a team going for a title who have it in their hands. They should have been battering sunderlands defence and creating havoc in their defence until they went ahead again.
We all know if liverpool had played that game they'd have probably been 2-0 inside the first 15 mins.

Let's be serious, liverpool winning the league is the biggest, by a massive distance. They've not won it in a generation, and for a team to go from 7th, to champions, without spending very much to do that, when you also consider the oil money knocking around at the top these days. It's just a phenominal achievment.
It can't have been much longer than a year ago gerrard himself admitted he would probably never lift the title in a liverpool shirt, which indicates how far down the pecking order they were not so long ago.

If it's a choice between them and the ''mancs'', pool by plenty.

| Its not Liverpool winning the title that is the problem for me, its going to be the wave of 'They Did It For The Hillsborough Victims' we are bound to be overwhelmed with by our gormless media.
They have been the best team and will deserve the title, but please let's not go overboard with the self-pitying stuff that's bound to be latched onto it.

You can't really blame the media for that when both Gerrard and Brendan stated in the post match interviews that they were inspired by the words of the victims families.
